Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, January 9, 2012.
Friday, January 6
*12:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 10:30pm on January 5th and 11:00am January 6th, an unknown suspect had entered the residence and stole a 42-inch LCD HDTV valued at $578. There was no sign of forced entry, the report states. The complainant did wish to pursue criminal charges if a suspect could be identified.
*1:47pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant found the cylinder of a handgun lying in the parking lot of the alternative school in the grassy area between the parking lot and the street.
*2:50pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding theft of medication. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject stole a bottle with 86 10mg Xanax from his residence sometime between January 1st and January 3rd. The complainant did wish to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.
*3:18pm-Brownwood Police spoke to a complainant via telephone regarding a follow up on criminal mischief which was reported on December 31st. The complainant advised the officer that an unknown subject vandalized her daughter’s car inside and out, the report states.
*3:57pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of Savoy Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had been assaulted by a known subject who had allegedly struck her in the face with a lit cigarette causing a blister under her left eye.
*7:50pm-Borwnwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal trespass. According to the report, the owner requested that three female subjects be issued criminal trespass warnings. The women were located and issued the warnings.
*8:25pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was attempting to make a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective license plate lamp when he was nearly struck by a red pickup which turned in front of his vehicle causing him to swerve and nearly crash, reports state. According to the report, the deputy finished his traffic stop and then located the pickup at a nearby residence. After an investigation, the driver of the pickup, 59-year-old Bobby Doyce Linney of Early, was determined to be intoxicated.
*10:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of 2nd Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been out of town and returned to find that an unknown subject had stolen two CD burners and ten DVD movies out of his room. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*10:16pm-A Brownwood Police officer was in the 1400 block of 8th Street when he noticed a male walking on the wrong side of the roadway, traveling northwest. The officer made a pedestrian stop for the violation which led to a citation of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia being issued to the male.
Saturday, January 7
*11:44am-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Brownwood Police Department regarding theft of credit/debit cards. According to the report, an unauthorized charge of $110 was made at the AT&T store on the same day of the theft. The information was taken and an investigation started.
*12:19am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Vincent. According to the report, the driver, identified as 22-year-old John Anthony Stewart, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
*12:38am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1400 block of 2nd Street regarding a traffic violation. According to the report, the driver, 22-year-old Royce Phillips, was found to be intoxicated. Phillips was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with Open Container.
*12:28pm-Brownwood Police served an outstanding warrant for 21-year-old Michael Mallone’s arrest. During Mallone’s arrest, marijuana was found on his person, and he was additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, police reports state.
*3:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Greenway regarding an assault. According to the officers, both parties involved claimed to be victims of an assault. The woman stated that she had slapped the male and that he had grabbed her arm and pushed her to the ground. The male party denied being slapped or pushing the female to the ground. The female requested transport to Brownwood Regional Medical Center and was taken by Guardian EMS to the emergency room for evaluation.
*8:16pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of 10th Street due to a defective license plate lamp. This stop led to the arrest of 24-year-old Reydecel Adame Rodriguez of Early for Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions.
*9:30pm-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Lane Street for a defective brake light. The driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old John Michael Salazar, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
*11:07pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Locust regarding a suspicious pickup that was parked on the roadway near the complainant’s home. This call led to the arrest of 57-year-old Joe David Scott for Public Intoxication. Scott was also issued a citation for Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle.
*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Cody Cross for Driving While Intoxicated
Sunday, January 8
*11:49am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding fraudulent use or possession of identifying Information. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect stole her wallet.
*2:20pm-Brownwood Police were called to 900 Gifford Street regarding illegal dumping. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone was dumping used tires on her property.
*5:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Melwood regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject had stolen some engine parts from her vehicle and that she wished to pursue criminal charges.
*6:21pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment. According to the report, the driver, identified as 54-year-old Antonio Campos, was found to be intoxicated. Campos refused to perform Field Sobriety Tests when asked and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.
*8:35pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the officer met with the complainant and a witness who stated she saw 42-year-old Brian Inglet breaking into the complainant’s residence. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges against Inglet, who was located and after an investigation, arrested for Burglary of Habitation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Chad Nolen Gosnell of Carbon for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Lori Lindaas for Driving While Intoxicated
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
