Wednesday, January 5

*8:41-Brownwood Police were called to the emergency room at BRMC regarding a hit and run accident.  According to reports, the female victim stated that she was walking in the 1800 block of 3rd Street when a black pickup truck hit her and then left the scene.  The victim stated that she did not have time to get up on the curb to avoid the pickup, but saw the vehicle swerve to hit her according to the report.  The pickup was reported to have struck the victim on the left hip causing her to fall down according to the report.  At the time of the report, no suspect information and no identifying information on the vehicle was available.  The victim’s mother wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.

Thursday, January 6

*2:37pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft at 401 W. Commerce.  Investigation determined that two subjects had attempted to leave the store without paying for 34 grocery items which were valued at $168.22. The suspects were identified as 33-year-old Anna Lee Cadena and 29-year-old Raymond Everett Pitzl.  Cadena and Pitzl were both arrested and charged with Theft of Property greater or equal to $20, less than $500.

*3:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Avenue W regarding theft.  The complainant stated that someone had stolen his red Murray riding lawn mower.  The complainant wishes to pursue charges if a suspect is found.

*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Angela Dawson Agan for Theft of Property greater or equal to $20, less than $500.

*10:00pm-Brownwood Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex involving two men that were cousins.    The incident resulted in one of the men being taken to the hospital.  According to police, the fight was over the hospitalized male “being mean” to his girlfriend.  The woman, who is in her early 20s, stayed at the house where the incident occurred with one of the men, 22-year-old Joshua Rivera.  According to police, the woman reported waking up that night to Rivera sexually assaulting her.

Rivera returned to Santa Anna after the incident, where he was arrested and brought back to Brown County on Sexual Assault charges.

*2:34am-Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Stewart Street regarding a male subject that refused to leave a group home.  Investigation led to the arrest of 32-year-old Nathaniel Lamont Webb.  The complainant stated that Webb had arrived at her workplace intoxicated and she had told him to leave, fearing that his presence on the premise would get her fired.  An officer arrived to find the suspect running in the back yard and attempting to hide from the officer.  The officer noted in the report that earlier this same day, they had responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of Avenue E involving Webb who appeared to already be intoxicated at that time.  The officer was unable to perform standard field sobriety tests on Webb due to his aggressive behavior.   Webb was arrested for public intoxication.

*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Amy Lynne Joyner of Early for Possession of Dangerous Drug and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
