Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, January 10, 2011.

Tuesday, January 4

*5:08pm-Brownwood Police officers were called to the 1900 block of Avenue C regarding theft.  The complainant reported his bicycle, valued at $150, had been stolen.  There were no known suspects at the time of the report.

*6:08pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce in reference to theft.  The complainant stated that she had sat her purse down on a bench in the shoe department of Wal-Mart and someone had stolen it.  Items reported to have been stolen along with the purse were various debit and identification cards, $20 cash, an MP3 player, and an AM/FM transmitter.

Friday, January 7

*8:47am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of 10th Street regarding two stolen bicycles.   The complainant described the bicycles as men’s mountain bikes that were valued at $500. A complainant had been named; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*1:57pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a violation of a protective order.  The complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had violated the order by sending her text messages. 

*8:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to a report of theft in the 1600 block of Hawkins.  The complainant stated that her 16-foot extension ladder had been stolen from the front yard of her residence between the hours of 5:00-8:00pm.  The ladder is valued at $300.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife officer arrested 19-year-old Frankie Steven Salazar for Evading Arrest and Criminal Trespass.

Saturday, January 8

*1:47pm-Brownwood Police responded to 401 W. Commerce to a report of theft.  The loss prevention employees reported items stolen were an Xbox360 controller and 3 Wii controllers.  A possible suspect was identified by one of the loss prevention employees.  No arrest(s) had been made at the time of the report.

*10:42pm-Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Beaver and W. Commerce regarding a possible domestic disturbance.  The reporting party stated that a male had just pushed down a female.  Both subjects, identified as 33-year-old Vantrisa Boutee and 44-year-old Derrick Rogers both of Houston, were located outside a local convenience store.  Investigation led to the arrest of Rogers for a warrant out of Bexar County and Boutee for Public Intoxication.

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Mitchell Douglas Davidson for Evading Arrest and Criminal Trespass.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 37-year-old Roberto Kiniskey, Jr. for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old David E. Tucknott for Public Intoxication.

Sunday, January 9

*2:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Cleburne regarding an animal at large.  While attempting to capture the animal, an officer was bitten.  The officer was treated and released.  The animal was located and captured by a City of Brownwood Animal Control officer.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Patricia Sue Fletcher for Assault Family Violence Causing Bodily Injury.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a man slumped over the steering wheel of a truck at the May Cemetery.   The man was identified as 40-year-old Michael Andrew Owens of Farmer’s Branch.  According to the report, Owens told officers that he had been drinking and did not know where he was but was able to tell officers that he was “coming from Lake Brownwood on his way home to Dallas”.  Owens was given standard field sobriety tests and was determined to be a danger to himself and the general public if left with his vehicle.  Owens was arrested for Public Intoxication. 

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
