Monday, January 5
*9:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of 6th Street regarding an assault.
Tuesday, January 6
*10:18 AM – Brownwood police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Melwood. After investigation, 25-year-old Daniel Maldonado of Brownwood was arrested for possession of marijuana.
*10:30 AM – Brownwood police responded to the 2000 block of 7th Street regarding burglary. The complainant told police that someone burglarized his vehicle in the middle of the night and took a knife, change and a handgun.
*11:30 AM – Brownwood police responded to the 2000 block of Slayden regarding theft. The complainant stated that someone stole an iPhone.
*12:22 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to 2700 block of Belle Plain Street (Sportsman Center Storage Buildings) in reference to several storage buildings, which appeared to have their locks cut. Contact was attempted with each of the owners. No suspect information was available at the time of this report.
*3:17 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Melwood regarding an unwanted person. After further investigation, police learned that a domestic dispute occurred.
*3:47 PM – Brownwood police received a call from a person in Dallas, TX regarding an assault that recently occurred in Brownwood. Police learned that a domestic assault had occurred early the same week.
*3:30 PM – Brownwood police responded to the area of Southside Drive and Magnolia for an accident. According to the report, during the call, one of the subjects involved fled the scene and refused to initially stop for police. 44-year-old Matthew Merz of Brownwood was arrested for driving while intoxicated and evading arrest/detention.
*7:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Brown County Jail regarding an assault between two inmates.
*9:05 PM – A Brownwood police officer made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Brady Avenue. As a result of the stop, 41-year-old Oscar Zuniga of Brownwood was arrested for driving while license suspended with previous convictions and for failure to identify.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 60-year-old Billy Charles Wilkins of Bangs for theft of property.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 27-year-old Jerod Scott Cyr of Brownwood for a surety withdrawal for possession of a controlled substance.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 36-year-old Casey Alexander Durant of Early for possession of a controlled substance.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested 23-year-old Meghan Turner Gray on Brownwood Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 27-year-old Chelsea Rene Mallone of Brownwood on Brown County warrant for possession of marijuana.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 28-year-old Daniel Tran Nguyen of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance.
*28-year-old Leah Sandoval Yabut of Brownwood turn herself in on warrants for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Wednesday, January 7
*Early Police arrested 39-year-old Joelena Tenee Beatty on El Paso County Warrants for aggravated assault and injury to a child/elderly
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Charles Staley Peck of Brownwood on multiple warrants.
