Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
Monday, January 6
*2:35 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant stated that her Ruger LCP 380 was stolen from her vehicle.
*2:59 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was called to a residence on Emerald Drive regarding a burglary. According to the report, the deputy arrived to find a forced entry had been made into the residence. It appeared nothing was missing and that the residence was not in disorder, other than one bed being unmade, the report states. The out-of-state owner of the property was contacted and reported that no one was given permission to be in the house, and she did wish to press charges against the person responsible for the break-in if a suspect can be identified, according to the deputy’s report.
*6:06 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of harassment. According to the report, an employee of the women’s shelter in Brownwood stated that a 35-year-old male had been leaving messages for a woman he believed to be in their care. He continued to call the shelter despite the fact that he was told numerous times to discontinue the phone calls.
*9:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the victim stated that her vehicle was broken into and personal identification cards, a debit card, health insurance and prescription card, a game system, Rayban sunglasses, gift card and a baseball bat were taken from the vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Connor Phillip Koss on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.
*The Brownwood City Marshall arrested 38-year-old Gidget Diane Lawson Stewart on a warrant for failure to appear/driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
Tuesday, January 7
*2:09AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 800 block of Booker Street. During the stop, a small amount of controlled substance was discovered, the report states. The driver, identified as 65-year-old Johnny Lee Strickland, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance
*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Jennifer Loraine Crader of Blanket for driving while license invalid.
