Saturday, January 2

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a complaint via telephone from officials at a local manufacturing plant regarding an employee who had made a terroristic threat.  According to the report, the employee made threats to “shoot up” the plant if he was fired.  The deputy made contact with the human resources employee and was told that the employee was soon to be terminated.  The incident has been documented; however, it was unknown at the time of the report if the suspect/employee had been terminated at this time or not.

Tuesday, January 5

*3:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Greenleaf regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant reported a vehicle was parked in his backyard with a woman inside pretending to be asleep.  This call led to the driver of the vehicle, identified as 42-year-old Cynthia Betty Hodges of Blanket, being arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*5:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue K regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male subject broke out a window on his vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Laura Leeann Gregory of Brownwood on warrants related to theft enhanced, theft over $50 under $500 and failure to appear/theft from elderly.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Myranda Lee Salazar of Corpus Christi on warrants related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds in a drug free zone and failure to appear/possession of a dangerous drug. Salazar was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $50,000.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 53-year-old Pamela Scheberl of Brownwood on a warrant related to driving while license invalid.
