Wednesday, January 4
*11:01pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Almond regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, the call involved the theft of methadone.
*2:14pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a report of possible identity theft or fraud. According to the report, the complainant had recently learned that his social security number had possibly been fraudulently used to obtain television services. An investigation is continuing.
*3:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant advised the officer that she had been assaulted by her sister.
Thursday, January 5
*8:19am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Parkway Drive. Investigation during the stop showed that the driver, 26-year-old Rosa Maria Lopez had a suspended driver’s license, the police report states. Lopez was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and the vehicle was released to a family member.
*3:56pm-Brownwood Police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle accident in the intersection of Avenue K and Durham. Investigation of the accident revealed that the driver of the pickup had a suspended driver’s license. Due to being transported by EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained from the accident, a charge of Driving While License Invalid Surcharge Due will be pending. The pickup was towed from the scene and impounded.
*4:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Mulberry Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised the officer that her wallet was stolen from her purse and she believes she knows who took it.
*5:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 11th Street regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the complainant asked for options on retrieving a trailer that belongs to her father. The complainant stated that she owed money to the suspect and the suspect took possession of the trailer and refused to return it, the report states. The officer informed the complainant that the money she owes the suspect was a civil matter and that the issue involving the trailer was a criminal matter. The officer, at the complainant’s request, called her father and informed him of the matter with the trailer and that the suspect was not going to give the trailer back, the report states. The owner of the trailer advised he did want to get his trailer back. A report for theft of $1500-$20,000 was filed.
*6:02pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Coleman, regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the storage building was broken into by forceful entry. An investigation determined that three fishing rods and reels were taken from the unit.
*6:37pm-Borwnwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Baker regarding domestic violence. According to the report, the suspect, 18-year-old Kathryn Marre Allen, admitted to assaulting the victim. Allen was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*7:38pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce, the Budget Inn, regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, four tires on a subject’s vehicle were slashed in the parking lot of the above location.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Gatlin Eric Bates of San Angelo for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Alexander Ramon Lucero of San Angelo for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
