Tuesday, December 29
*12:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of E. Commerce.
Wednesday, December 30
*4:42 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of the burglary of a vehicle in the 1000 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, December 31
*5:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject had possibly stolen items from the business.
*Early Police received a report from a local business owner about suspicious circumstances regarding a subject that just bought a trailer. According to the report, the buyer, identified as Wesley Ward of North Richland Hills, was located and questioned regarding the purchase of the trailer. A warrant check on Ward indicated there was an outstanding warrant for fraud regarding an investigation by the US Secret Service where credit cards with false accounts were created and items purchased with these credit cards, the report states. Ward was arrested and taken to the Brown County jail on the warrant with a hold for the US Marshal’s Office. Numerous other credit cards were seized along with several other items that had been purchased including two welders and the trailer, according to the report. All items were held as evidence for the Secret Service to follow up on next week, Early Police Department reported.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Keith Hall of Brownwood on a warrant related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 20-year-old Ethan Vance Wills of Brownwood on two surety withdrawals related to operate unregistered vehicle and driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension.
Friday, January 1
*1:07 AM – Brownwood police were called to the 1000 block of Vine Street regarding domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that a suspect, identified as 23-year-old Orion Peters of Brownwood had assaulted her brother. Peters was subsequently arrested for assault causes bodily injury.
*1:22 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Hwy 183 N in Brownwood, regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that two relatives dragged him with their vehicle on the road after a verbal argument.
*3:15 AM – Early Police arrested 28-year-old Richard Gunter Seay of Perryton, Texas for Public Intoxication.
*7:23 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Highland Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, 33-year-old Katherine Cartwright of Brownwood was arrested for assault family violence.
*7:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.
*9:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding criminal mischief.
*Early Police responded to a one vehicle accident in the 1500 block of Early Blvd which led to the arrest of 22-year-old Jeremy Michael McConnell of Comanche for driving while intoxicated and failure to control speed. According to the report, McConnell’s vehicle traveled off the roadway striking mailboxes and fences. McConnell fled the scene on foot but was located a short distance away, the report states.
*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Dalton Coleman of Temple, Texas for possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of weapon. According to the report, Coleman was stopped for traffic violation when officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located approximately 12 grams of marijuana in the vehicle along with two pistols. 23-year-old Laney Bond from San Marcos was also arrested during this stop, on charges possession of marijuana and unlawful carrying of weapon.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business on FM 2632 regarding theft. According to the report, approximately $2,976.00 worth of items were taken. Possible suspects were named, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Rene Tagle of Comanche on warrants related to no driver’s license, violate promise to appear, and no liability insurance.
Saturday, January 2
* 3:23 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped to check on a suspicious vehicle which was stopped in front of a closed business. During a probable cause search, the deputy located numerous articles of drug paraphernalia, 0.8 grams of methamphetamine, and a useable amount of marijuana inside of the vehicle, which was being operated by 25-year-old Roseann Lopez Ortega of Brownwood. Ortega was arrested for possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 less than one gram and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
*12:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Durham Avenue regarding assault by threat.
*8:24 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the 2700 block of West Main Blvd regarding a suspicious person. According to the report, the deputy located a male pushing a golf cart in the 2500 block of West Main and made contact. The male was wanted from Texas Pardon and Parole, the report states, and when the deputy performed an in custody search of the suspect, he found two baggies in his coat pocket that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Suspect, identified as 36-year-old Bobby Wayne Michalski, Jr. of Brownwood, was charged with possession of a control substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*10:57 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 599 regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, an assault had occurred. This call led to the arrest of 43-year-old James Alan Butts of Brownwood for assault family violence with bodily injury.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation at 1050 West Commerce. According to the report, the vehicle turned left into the Law Enforcement Center and did not stop when the deputy activated the lights on his patrol car. The driver, identified as 38-year-old Jason Brewer of Brownwood continued to travel to Nita’s Bail Bonds, the report states. After Brewer stopped, an investigation determined that the front passenger, identified as 17-year-old Andrew McCurdy of Brownwood, was in possession of a Hydrocodone pill, which weighed 0.5 grams, the deputy reported. The pill was located in a cigarette pack located in the front passenger door handle, according to the report. Brewer and McCurdy were arrested for possession of controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams. Brewer was additionally charged with evading detention or arrest.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Dustin Lance Galloway of Spring Branch, Texas for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams. Galloway was being held in the Brown County Jail on $75,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Destinee Angela Marie Hood of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Cynthia Elliece Keeney of Coleman on a warrant related to motion to revoke/delivery of a controlled substance.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old James Kory King of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams. King was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Louis Salazar of Brownwood on a warrant related to sexual abuse of a child, victim under 14. Salazar was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond as of Monday morning.
Sunday, January 3
*12:33 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of assault causes bodily injury family violence. According to the report, the victim stated that her husband had backed his pickup truck into her during a verbal argument at approximately 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016. The deputy reported no visible injuries but that the victim stated that her thighs were bruised, the report states. The incident was documented.
*1:10 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to signal a lane change. According to the report, the vehicle stopped at the intersection of Garmon Drive and Meadow Glen Drive in Early. While speaking with the driver, identified as 33-year-old David Robert Miguell Gutierrez of Killeen about the traffic offense, the deputy could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle, the report states. A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and Gutierrez was found to be in possession of marijuana, the report states. Gutierrez was arrest for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*8:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding criminal mischief.
*1:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of N. Fisk Avenue regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the glass in a sliding glass door had been broken out of a business. The owner wished to pursue criminal charges if a suspect(s) could be identified, the report states.
*1:51 PM – While assisting another deputy with a domestic dispute on County Road 471, a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft at another residence. According to the report, a male subject that lived at the residence stated that a dry blower machine had been stolen from his storage shed.
*2:12 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s office was dispatched to a business on Harbor Drive in May, Texas regarding theft. According to the report, a complainant stated that a known subject had stolen some of her property at the store. The male suspect, identified as 62-year-old Willie Joe Thornal of Arlington, was eventually issued a citation for possessing the stolen property. During a consent search, narcotics were located in Thornal’s person and vehicle, the report states. Thornal subsequently arrested, charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Alexander Bower of Hemphill, Texas on a warrant for failure to identify fugitive intentionally give false information.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Tori Elizabeth Boykin of Hemphill, Texas on a warrant related to driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Justin Hayden Brown of Early on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation. Brown was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Joseph Luther Cook of Brownwood on a warrant related to aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury. Cook was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Laramie Sheree Hash of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
