Wednesday, January 29

*7:45 AM – While on duty at Brownwood High School, the resource officer was called to the student center where an assault had just occurred.  An investigation led to a juvenile subject being taken into custody, processed at the Brownwood Police Department and then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.  The subject was placed into the Disciplinary Education Alternative Program (DEAP)for 45 days as in school  as in school discipline by school administration.

*12:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding forgery of a check.  There are no known suspects according to the report.

*5:59 PM- Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Main Street regarding a subject that was possibly intoxicated.  An investigation led to the arrest of 58-year-old Thomas Arthur Brewer for the violations of public intoxication and possession of a dangerous drug.

*Early Police arrested 71-year-old James Preston Dean on warrants related to failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Sarah Lee Goodman on a warrant related to motion to revoke/forgery financial instrument.

*Early Police arrested 58-year-old Jerry Lee Hodges for theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000 enhanced.

Thursday, January 30

*12:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of McArthur regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant was assaulted both verbally and physically by a client.  The incident is pending further investigation.

*Brownwood Police arrested 80-year-old Charles Douglas Jones on two counts of indecency/aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts indecency with a child/contact.  According to Brownwood Police, Jones was arrested due to an outcry from a very young juvenile relative, which the Heart of Texas Child Advocacy Center confirmed through their interview process.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Brandi Marie Spivey on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/burglary of a building.
