Monday, January 28
*9:20 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant’s 2008 Ford Explorer was burglarized and $120.00 cash was stolen.
*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Booker Street regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant stated that his black Colt Agent .38 six shot revolver with 2-inch barrel was stolen. The firearm was valued at $1400.00, the report states.
*1:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding an assault.
*4:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding harassment.
*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an ex-employee allegedly stole several items from the store on Friday, January 25th.
Tuesday, January 29
*5:38 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the parked and unattended vehicle had been struck while the complainant worked inside the store. There was damage to the left rear passenger door and left rear quarter panel, the report states.
*8:25 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Calvert regarding a student at Brownwood Middle School having been found to have two containers believed to contain alcohol. According to the report, the investigation determined that the juvenile was in possession of alcohol. The juvenile was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol and will be placed in DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program) for 45 days as school discipline, the report states. The student was then released to his mother, who arrived a short time later, the report states.
*11:16 AM- Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an employee had stolen tools from his shop and that he wanted to pursue criminal charges.
*2:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that identification cards and a debit card were stolen from her vehicle sometime between January 26th and January 29th.
*4:03 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with the owner of a business at Lake Brownwood which makes boat docks regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant had received a shipment of pieces of encapsulated floatation, used for making docks, which was stacked in front of his business. When he noticed that the stack looked different, he did an inventory and found two pieces missing, which are valued at $325 each, the report states.
*4:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business in Zephyr regarding stolen equipment. According to the complainant, a Sky Trac was left at an address on County Road 290 while he was out of town taking care of some business in Mexico. When he returned, the equipment was missing. A general contractor stated that another man had used the Sky Trac and that the last time he had seen it at the residence was about a week before Christmas, the report states. The man said to have used the Sky Trac denied having used it, stating that he had one of his own in another town according to the report. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*8:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Willis Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect stole $160.00 from his wallet.
*9:38 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of Avenue C regarding a juvenile issue. According to the report, the juvenile was caught inhaling air duster. The juvenile probation officer was contacted and the juvenile was arrested for possession and use of a volatile chemical and transported to the Law Enforcement Center for processing, then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center without incident, the report states.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 33-year-old Jaclyn Marie Davis AKA Jaclyn Marie Goins on three warrants from the Brownwood Municipal Court related to traffic violations.
*Bangs Police arrested 40-year-old Dustin Moise Thompson on two warrants related to displaying expired license plates.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 60-year-old Terry Wilkins for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Kameron Rider Yarbrough on two warrants for failure to appear, related to criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
