Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday January 3, 2011.
Tuesday, December 28
*A Brownwood Police officer responded to assist another officer with a traffic stop being conducted at the corner of 9th Street and Avenue B. The vehicle stopped was found to have been involved in an accident. After an investigation, the accident scene was located and a warrant is being sought against the driver for Failure to Comply with Requirements on Striking Fixture on Highway the report states.
Wednesday, December 29
*1:23pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of 12th Street regarding a case of criminal mischief. The complainant stated he had returned home and discovered the window of his vehicle had been busted out. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*3:20pm-Brownwood Police received a report from a complainant that his identifying information was stolen and used to open up an AT&T account in his name and that $1075 in charges had been accrued on the account.
Thursday, December 30
*1:55pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue B regarding found property. The reporting party stated that her children had found a car stereo while riding their bikes in the south parking lot of Coggin Elementary.
*2:45pm-Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident in the 1000 block of W. Commerce. The complainant stated that someone had struck her vehicle and fled the scene. The complainant advised that on Dec. 24th between the hours of 8:30 and 10:00pm, she had been at a residence in the 3500 block of Surrey Lane and left her vehicle unattended, parked legally along the curb. When she left the residence, she did not notice the damage due to it being dark; however, the next day she noticed damage to the back left quarter panel and rear bumper. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*2:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue H regarding criminal mischief. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complaint who advised that some unknown suspect(s) had shot out the front left driver’s side window of his pickup overnight.
*5:50pm-Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a hit and run accident which caused damage to the back left quarter panel and paint of her vehicle. The complainant stated that between Dec. 24th and 30th, someone struck her vehicle while it was left unattended in a parking stall in front of her apartment.
*9:20pm-While on patrol in the 200 block of Main, a Brownwood Police officer observed a vehicle with only one functioning headlamp. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as 20-year-old Kory Sean Ogden. The passenger was identified as 27-year-old Kenneth Andrew Doster of Zephyr. After identifying information was run by communications, the officer was informed that Ogden was driving with an invalid license and with no proof of insurance and that Doster had warrants for his arrest out of Brown, Erath and Lampasas counties. Ogden was charged with Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Doster was arrested for the outstanding warrants.
Friday, December 31
*2:13pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement center in regard to forgery. Copies of forged checks were obtained as evidence along with a Forgery Affidavit. Suspect information was provided by the complainant as well. The investigation is ongoing.
*2:56pm-Brownwood Police responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 3000 block of Austin Avenue.
*5:04pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1400 Austin, regarding a domestic disturbance. Witnesses reported to police that a male, identified as 17-year-old Isaac Rivera, had pulled the hair of a female and then struck her in the face while stopped at the intersection of Austin and Coggin. According to the report, officers spoke with witnesses and Rivera, who was then arrested and charged with Assault with Injury Family Violence.
*6:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1800 block of Avenue K where a woman reported being harassed both by text and visits in person by the suspect to her place of employment by a known suspect. According to the report, she called to report incidents of harassment as well as to request a criminal trespass warning be issued to the suspect for both her residence as well as her work address. The report states that the suspect continues to harass via text and by posting suicidal themed messages on Facebook. A criminal trespass warning was issued; however the suspect refused to sign and crumpled up the warning in front of the officer the report states. The morning after the warning was issued, the complainant found the warning left at her back door. Warrants are being sought for the suspect’s continued harassment offenses.
*9:54pm-Brownwood Police responded to the area of 4th Street and Avenue J regarding two intoxicated subjects. Upon arrival, it was found that a juvenile female had consumed an unknown amount of alcohol and was semi-responsive on the ground. EMS was dispatched and transported the female to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation. The male juvenile was released on scene to a parent.
*Early Police Department arrested 57-year-old Louis Wayne Elliot of Odessa for Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Domingo Navarro Vallecillo for Driving While Intoxicated, 1st.
Saturday, January 1
*12:33am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 2200 block of Avenue D. A male subject was found to be banging on a door at the back of a residence and yelling. After an investigation, a victim was found at another residence claiming to have been assaulted. There were minor injuries found and the male, later identified as 25-year-old Jose Claudio Galaviz, Jr. was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence.
*5:56am-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of CC Woodson Road regarding suspicious activity. After an investigation, it was determined that a male and female had been sitting in the parking lot and drinking alcohol throughout the night. After sobriety tests were conducted, the female who was identified as 26-year-old Chastity Rose Allison was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication.
*11:15am-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle on Shannon Drive. The complainant stated that the vehicle had been left unsecured and had been stolen overnight. No suspects were known at the time of the report. The vehicle has been entered as stolen.
*2:44pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of 10th Street in reference to a report of theft.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Trina Meshelle Barnes for Possession of a Dangerous Drug.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 31-year-old Kristy Rambo Jackson for Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Mark Anthony Rivera for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Chad Michael Smith for Driving while Intoxicated.
Sunday, January 2
*1:26pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding a fight. 28-year-old Jesse David Deleon was observed to be in the middle of the roadway and appeared to be the instigator of the disturbance the report states. Investigation revealed that Deleon was intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication.
*1:42pm-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy while on patrol noted a black Chevy truck parked on the side of the road. When the deputy investigated what the driver was doing, he found the occupants were standing on the side of the road and draining fluid from the gas tank. The driver stated that he was going deer hunting and had accidentally put diesel into his tank instead of gasoline. The officer explained to the driver that what he was doing was illegal and that he could face charges for illegal dumping. The driver stated that he was unaware that his actions were illegal and was unaware of the violation. Photographs were taken and Brownwood Fire Department was called to clean up the spill.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old Reginald Dave Deloney of Pflugerville for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.
Monday, January 3, 2011
*1:13pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of South US 377, a convenience store, in reference to an intoxicated male subject in the store. Further investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Porfirio Delacruz for Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
