Wednesday, January 27

*11:07 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a cell phone had been stolen from the vehicle during the burglary.

*5:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Rogan Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a child custody disagreement led to a physical altercation.  A warrant will be sought for the actor of the violence, according to law enforcement.

*11:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Brady Avenue regarding an assault.  The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.

Thursday, January 28

*9:40 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Lackey Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle and a tire were damaged.

*11:03 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 4200 block of Austin Avenue for displaying the wrong license plates.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 33-year-old Randy Earl Jones of Bremond, Texas, was found to be driving while his license was invalid and without proof of insurance.  Jones was subsequently arrested for driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*1:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 58-year-old Barbara Shafer Mata of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*4:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, electronics, food, household goods, clothing, and pet toys, valued at approximately $390 were stolen from the business.  No arrests were made at the time of the report.

*7:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of 6th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged.

*8:07 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, after talking with the complainant by phone, a report for criminal mischief was filed and criminal charges are being pursued.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property located on U.S. Hwy 377 South regarding a domestic disturbance which had become physical.  According to the report, the deputy made contact with two males who were involved in the disturbance.  As a result of this call and due to the physical assault and future threats, 33-year-old Terrance Keith Till of Brookesmith was arrested for class C assault.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Charlotte Ann Story of Bangs on a warrant related to forgery of a financial instrument.  Story was released on $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Isabel Tamez of Brownwood for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

*43-year-old Trease Wilson Williams of Brownwood turned herself in for theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Mallorie Brooke Pope Basio of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to increase bond/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and false drug test/falsification device.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Juan Jose Garcia of Brownwood on warrants related to evading arrest/detention with vehicle, driving while license invalid with suspension, and violate bond/protective order.  Garcia was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $26,000 as of Friday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Wendy Ann Holster of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.

Friday, January 29

*1:39 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Austin Avenue regarding a traffic accident.  According to the report, witnesses reported a silver van had struck three dumpsters and fled the scene.  The vehicle was located and the driver, identified as 31-year-old Derrick Mason of Early, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Joey Gabriel Rivera of Comanche for driving while intoxicated.
