Monday December 7
*4:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Pecan Street regarding the theft. According to the report, a known subject had allegedly spent a large amount of money belonging to a local organization.
Tuesday, December 8
*9:21 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Comanche Drive regarding theft of services. According to the report, a city employee stated that a known subject is believed to have tampered with a City of Brownwood water meter and has stolen an unknown amount of water.
*4:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Fisk Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a female complainant reported that her prescription eyeglasses had been stolen.*6:01 PM – Brownwood Police received two reports of a scam. According to the report, the complainants were phoned by subjects identifying themselves as employees of the City of Brownwood who asked them to pay their utility bill or the service would be disconnected. The complainants each followed the subjects’ instructions to purchase MoneyGrams to pay their bills, the report states. One complainant lost a total of $869.01 and the second $861.11, according to the reports. City of Brownwood officials warned of the scam stating the utility department does not phone customers for billing or disconnections but rather use the USPS mail to send out bills/disconnect notices when accounts are delinquent.
*7:59 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a patient with a dog bite. According to the report, the complainant had been attacked by a gray colored pit bull while jogging on Blarney Drive in the Shamrock Shores area resulting in multiple injuries. The dog’s whereabouts was unknown at the time of the report.
*11:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a local bar in the 400 block of South Broadway regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 27-year-old Donald Allan McCullough of Brownwood for assault with injury, unlawful restraint and public intoxication.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 46-year-old Treasa Louise Christy of Bangs on a warrant related to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Brandi Nicole McDaniel of Brownwood on warrants related to delivery of a controlled substance, a surety withdrawal/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, failure to appear/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, and surety withdrawal/forgery against elderly individual. McDaniel was being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $65,000.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 33-year-old Jessica Rose Walton of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams.
