Wednesday, January 28
*11:39 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*2:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia for an agency assist. According to the report, officers assisted Brown County Adult Probation with a probation search at a south Brownwood apartment complex. The probationer was identified as 51-year-old Anita Marie Valdez, the report states. During the probation search, the BPD narcotics investigator seized a quantity of a suspected controlled substance, according to police. Valdez was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*7:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding criminal mischief.
*7:53 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 345 in Early regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that her soon-to-be ex-husband had damaged some of her property. The damage was estimated at $1,240, the report states.
*8:08 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding possible indecency with a child that occurred in 2012. A suspect is known, the report states.*8:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of Crestridge Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her runaway daughter had stolen several electronic items which included an iPod, an Apple tablet, and an iPhone.
*9:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding harassment.
*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce Street regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect stole fuel using a fraudulent fuel card.
*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Stephanie Lynn Gonzales of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while intoxicated/open container.
*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old Augustin Mindieta of Brownwood on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Herbert Lee Sanders III on warrants related to surety withdrawals for theft of metal and theft.
*Early Police arrested 29-year-old Jimmy Wayne Sellers of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Daniel Matthew Simcox, Jr. on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/sexual assault. Simcox was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000.
Thursday, January 29
*3:17 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a welfare check on a vehicle which was suspiciously parked in the back corner of the Bangs Hill rest stop, located in the 1200 block of US Hwy 67 West. According to the report, the deputy found an adult male and a 16-year-old male sleeping in the vehicle. The report states that an investigation determined a sexual assault had occurred and the adult male and driver of the vehicle, identified as 25-year-old Joshua Austin Hall, was arrested and charged with sexual assault.
*Early Police arrested 22-year-old Donna Mae Kinsey for driving while license invalid.
