Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday and Wednesday, January 28 and 29, 2014:
Monday, January 27
*8:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Crockett Drive regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the complainant stated that he was being harassed by phone. Although he asked the male caller to stop calling, the caller continues to call and curse at the complainant, the report states.
*11:19 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine. According to the report, an unknown amount of cash and coins had been stolen from the machine, estimated to be in excess of $300. The complainant wished to file criminal charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*11:24 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding his credit card/debit card being stolen and have made several unauthorized purchases with it.
*3:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, after consulting with asset protection employees, a female subject was issued a citation for theft less than $50.
* 7:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive, Food Plaza, regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, a criminal trespass warning was issued to the male subject who was suspected of shoplifting from the store on a previous occasion, as requested by employees.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Michael Howard for Prohibited Substance Correctional Facility
*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Julian Allen Staggs of Early on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and motion to revoke driving while intoxicated (Callahan County).
Tuesday, January 28
*8:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Indian Creek regarding stalking. According to the report, the female victim stated that her ex-boyfriend, a 39-year-old male, continues to contact her and her family and friends through social media and phone calls. The suspect has stated that he is contacting family members and friends because he loves the complainant and wants her back, the report states. This continued contact annoys and bothers the victim and has caused her to fear for her safety as well as the safety of her friends and family, according to the report.
*5:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Cedar Street regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the complainant’s chain link fence and a wooden storage building were damaged. This call led to citations being issued to two subjects.
*5:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 1st Street regarding a juvenile who was reported to have runaway.
*6:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding harassment.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that he sold a pickup to a known male subject in January of 2013 and bought the pickup back from the subject in May of 2013; however, the subject never returned the pickup to him. The complainant has the title of the pickup in his possession which is still in his name.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop in on W. US Hwy 67 for a valid traffic offense, expired motor vehicle registration, according to a Sheriff’s report. After further investigation, 27-year-old Jessica Elizabeth Parsons was placed under arrest for driving while license invalid, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3, and possession of a dangerous drug. After being transported to the jail and searched by jail personnel, Parsons was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and tampering/fabricating physical evidence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Alicia Gil Bates on a warrant for motion to adjudicate/fail to identify fugitive.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Hallie Shae Crouch on a warrant for motion to adjudicate/fail to identify fugitive.
*Early Police arrested 50-year-old Kevin Scott Roark for injury to elderly, interfere w/emergency, interfere with emergency call, and terroristic threat against public servant.
Wednesday, January 29
*2:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road to an argument which resulted in damage to a vehicle belonging to one of the parties involved in the argument. There was reported damage to the passenger side door of the vehicle, the report states.
