Law enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, December 9, 2011.
Thursday, December 8
*1:17am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Wood Avenue regarding criminal trespass. According to the report, the complainant stated that a female subject, who has been issued a criminal trespass warning, was at the residence and had knocked on the door. The incident took place approximately 8:00pm on December 7th.
*6:50am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding criminal mischief to a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that the air had been let out of the tires on her vehicle and a red liquid substance was poured all over the paint. A suspect has been named; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*12:00pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding theft. According to the report, a wrought iron bench was stolen from the front of the home between the hours of 7:40am and 11:00am on December 8th. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*2:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Law Enforcement Center where they received a report of a stolen GPS system. Information provided by the complainant led to the investigation of a burglary of a vehicle, the report states.
*5:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Fisk Avenue regarding a possible intoxicated person. A description of the female was given by dispatch. According to the report, the officer made contact with the female, later identified as 25-year-old Darlene Frias, and determined that she was not intoxicated. While talking with the female, the officer learned she had been at the Family Dollar Store on Main Street, where she has an active criminal trespass warning. The officer also found that the woman had taken several items from the Family Dollar store, the report states. Frias was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Theft Less than $50.
*8:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding a female who was being detained by loss prevention employees. According to the report, it was found that the female subject attempted to steal several items from the store. She was issued a citation for theft and released at the scene, the report states.
*11:52pm-Brownwood Police were patrolling in the 1900 block of Avenue D when they noticed a pickup truck stop for a prolonged period of time at a stop sign. A male subject was standing outside the driver’s side door that appeared to be talking to someone inside the vehicle. Due to the vehicle being parked in the lane of traffic and the suspicious circumstances, a stop was initiated. The stop led to the arrest of 25-year-old Jose Edwardo Nino for Driving While Intoxicated.
* Early Police Chief David Mercer reported that 19-year-old Justin Ahu Kapahua of Holauloa, HI was part of a group of people selling magazines in the Early area without a permit. The group would not identify the company they represented nor would Kapahua produce his identifying information when police questioned him according to Mercer. Kapahua was arrested for Solicit Sales without Permit. Mercer reminds the public that all door-to-door sales people are required to have a permit on their person.

*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Ciarra Leann Day for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
