Saturday, December 4

*3:45am-According to Brownwood Police reports, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.  During the stop, communications advised the officer that the vehicle was possibly involved in a hit and run that occurred in the Whataburger parking lot the report states.  An investigation is ongoing and a report has been generated for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Wednesday, December 8

*7:46am-Brownwood Police responded to the 2100 block of Avenue B regarding a report of criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he put a post in the ground to be used for a mailbox that was on the correct property and would not affect the adjacent property.  Sometime later, an unknown person pulled up the post and threw it in the garbage can behind the adjacent property the report states.  Damage was estimated to be $110.

*9:00am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Manufacturing parking lot regarding an assault that had occurred.   According to the report, the complainant stated that while he was driving with his MHMR client in the car, the client punched him in the nose.  The client was returned to MHMR for further evaluation.

*9:07am-A complainant came to Brownwood Police Department to report a cell phone either stolen or missing.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had previously been to three locations within the city of Brownwood and had since found her phone to be missing.  The incident was thought to have occurred between Dec. 3rd and Dec. 8th the report states.

*8:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 7th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*10:02pm-Brownwood police met with a woman at BPD regarding found property.  According to the report, the woman had found a Bank of America debit card near the gas pumps at the 7-11 on Coggin Avenue.  The owner was contacted and the debit card returned.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 26-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez-Vargas of Austin for No Driver’s License.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 22-year-old Chelsa Lee Hazle and 30-year-old Kimberly Anne Pierce of Brownwood.  Both Hazle and Pierce were charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.

Thursday, December 9

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 38-year-old Rex Aaron Bennett for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
