Monday, January 26
*11:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Golding Road regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated she was assaulted by her boyfriend who also lives with her. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*5:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, a female suspect was issued a citation for theft under $50.
*9:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding harassment. The complainant stated that they have received numerous calls from an individual accusing them of illegal acts in Santa Anna, according to the report. The investigation is ongoing.
Tuesday, January 27
*12:59 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Dustin Michael Nichols of Brownwood for the offense of theft greater than $50 less than $500.*2:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Center Avenue, Bam Vapor, regarding theft. According to the report, two e-cigarettes were stolen from the business.
*2:57 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an area on County Road 338 regarding illegal dumping. According to the report, the property owner stated that someone had dumped household trash in the bar ditch next to the complainant’s property line. Items contained in the trash had the name and address of two subjects, the report states. One subject has been contacted and a statement was taken, according to the deputy’s report. The deputy was not able to reach the second subject, the report states.
*3:56 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding trespassing. The complainant reported that a subject who has an active criminal trespass warning for the property had been inside Taco Bell and that the business did wish to pursue charges for the offense of criminal trespass, according to the report. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*4:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy while on patrol discovered an illegal dumping site where approximately 18 passenger vehicle tires had been dumped, along with other rubbish. Nine of these still had the rims mounted to the tires, the report states.
*4:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Looney Street regarding found property. It was discovered that a purse had been abandoned which contained stolen merchandise from a nearby store. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*5:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4300 block of Woodland Park Drive regarding the violation of a protective order.
*7:39 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on Country Oaks Lane regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject was trying to sell her property via Facebook. The suspect allegedly obtained the property due to UPS delivering a package to an old address on Cindy Cove in Brownwood, the report states.
*10:32 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Hwy 279 regarding deadly conduct. Two complainants stated that a known subject allegedly shot at the complainants as they were leaving a residence; however they declined to press charges. The suspect was identified later that evening as 26-year-old Anthony Michael Willett, who was arrested later that night on a separate incident, for having a prohibited weapon (a sawed off shotgun), at a different location, according to law enforcement.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Chris Truitt Barker of Brownwood on warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Matias Buitron, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal for driving while license invalid with previous conviction without financial responsibility.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 51-year-old David Scott Lindsey of Brownwood for warrants related to driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility and failure to appear on class C offense.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Christopher Allen Lankford of Brownwood.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Tiffany Dawn Riggleman of Brownwood on warrants related to engage in organized criminal activity, possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
Wednesday, January 28
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Meghann Sharp of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated 2nd.
