Friday, January 25
*10:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Vincent Street regarding theft. According to the report, several feet of copper wire, along with other metal items were taken from the back area of a residence.
*1:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Creekwood Circle regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had asked an acquaintance to hold several firearms for safekeeping while he was deployed overseas with the military. The complainant indicated that he was now unable to retrieve the firearms from the subject, the report states.
*3:13 PM – Brownwood Police assisted the Brown County Adult Probation Department with a probation search at a residence in south Brownwood. According to the report, numerous items of drug paraphernalia were discovered inside the residence during the search. The probationer and his fiancée were each issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
*5:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance in progress. According to the report, the complainant advised that a 4-year-old child had asked her to call the police due to his mother and father fighting. The incident was settled by separation, the report states.
*6:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive regarding the theft of a cell phone.*11:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Bonita Street regarding a fraudulent banking transaction. According to the report, an unknown person gained access to her banking account and removed a large sum of money. The complainant stated that she was contacted by her bank about the transaction and the money was returned after they were informed that it was an unauthorized transaction. The complainant does wish to pursue charges if a suspect can be identified.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop for a nonfunctional license plate light. According to the report, the driver, identified as 28-year-old Michael Scott Tibbetts of Brookesmith, seemed nervous and sometimes avoided answering basic interdiction questions. Tibbetts gave the deputy permission to search his person and vehicle for narcotics and during the search, a glass pipe believed to be used to smoke illegal substances such as methamphetamine was found in his left front pocket, the report states. A search of his vehicle led to the discovery of a small plastic baggie of a crystal-like substance which tested positive as methamphetamine, a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun and a Marlin rifle, according to the report. Tibbetts was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Anthony Aguirre for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 40-year-old Lisa K Alldredge for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood City Marshal arrested Hearther Bradshaw on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 40-year-old Christi Mischelle Green for theft or property equal or greater than $20 less than $500.
* Early Police Chief David Mercer reported that the Early Police Department began investigating an on-line impersonation case in October 2012 where an individual began receiving phone calls from an ad placed in the ”Craig’s List” personal ads. According to Mercer, upon investigating the offense through Craig’s List and subpoenaing numerous records a suspect was developed and later questioned. Jackson admitted to posting the ad in Craig’s List. Jackson turned herself in to the Brown County Jail on Friday, January 25, 2013, according to Mercer.
*28-year-old Crystal Brooke Negrete of Early turned herself in on a warrant for her arrest on charges related to burglary of a habitation.
*28-year-old John Robert Quick turned himself into the Brownwood Police on a warrant for his arrest for theft of property equal or greater than $50 and less than $500.
*57-year-old Walter Harrison Tompkins turned himself in on a warrant for his arrest related to driving while intoxicated with child under 15.
Saturday, January 26
*11:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Belle Plain regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, a subject reported to have been assaulted by a male subject at his residence. The officer located the subject, identified as 43-year-old Chad Beasley, who was found to be heavily intoxicated, according to the report. Beasley was arrested for public intoxication and a report was filed regarding the assault.
*12:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant advised that his ex-common law wife broke a window at his residence the day before and that she allegedly stole, activated, and used the complainant’s debit card without his permission.
*5:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of 3rd Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person stole three of the four vehicle rims that he was attempting to sell. No possible suspects could be determined at the time of the report.
*5:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s grocery store, regarding theft. According to the report, management had witnessed a female subject conceal an item and attempt to leave the store without paying. The female was issued a citation and a criminal trespass warning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Ryan Fell on five warrants for speeding 10% or more, two counts of unrestrained child-safety seat, driving while license invalid and open container.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Kevin Waardenburg for credit/debit card abuse.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Aaron Shane White for driving while license invalid.
Sunday, January 27
*1:43 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 3rd Street and Avenue G after observing a driver make several traffic violations. According to the report, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Caitlin Hail of Coleman, was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Hail consented to a blood specimen which was taken at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, then she was transported to the Brown County Jail.
*2:02 AM – Brownwood Police were called to an accident in the 1700 block of 9th Street. According to the report, the call led to the arrest of 31-year-old Nicholas Ruiz of Austin for driving while intoxicated.
*2:13 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding a fight. According to the report, an investigation determined that an assault with injury had occurred recently at the location; however, the suspect had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*8:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant advised that her daughter was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend last night at an address in Brownwood. All parties were interviewed and a report taken regarding the incident.
*5:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, Coggin Park regarding a possible fight which was about to take place. According to the report, the officer arrived to find a subject who advised that he had been assaulted by a male juvenile. The juvenile admitted to assaulting the subject and was placed under arrest, then transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
*8:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Vincent Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that 43-year-old Adam Bolden had strangled and head butted her. Injuries were observed on the complainant which were consistent with her story. Bolden was arrested on charges of assault family violence by strangulation, a third degree felony.
*9:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crocket Drive, the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room, regarding suspicious activity. This call led to the arrest of 36-year-old Laura Belinda Stovall of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A equal or less than 2 ounces.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was investigating a possible assault when he located the alleged victim walking in the roadway at Dillard Drive and Blarney Drive. According to the report, the male subject was identified as 48-year-old Royal Spurger of Brookesmith, who was determined to be intoxicated and in possession of a club. The male was placed under arrest for public intoxication and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Shortly after this, another subject who was previously identified as Seth Ware approached the deputy’s location on foot, the report states. The deputy had initially spoken to Ware at his residence and observed that he was intoxicated. Now, Ware was being confrontational and refused to obey commands to return to his home, the report states. As the deputy and another assisting officer began to place Ware in custody, he began to resist, and the deputy had to point his electronic control device at his chest before he would comply, and when secured in the vehicle, Ware made a threat toward one of the arresting officers, the report states. Ware was charged with obstruction/retaliation, two counts of resist arrest/search/transport, and public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Rayann Jones on a warrant for theft greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Scott Lewis Stuart of Coleman on a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear.
Monday, January 28
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Leonard Diggles of Call, TX on a warrant for theft of property by check out of Hardin County.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Beverly Renee Gandy for resist arrest search or transport.
