Thursday, January 23

*9:50 AM – The Brownwood High School Resource officer was called to the Accelerated High School regarding a student who had a knife and alcohol in his possession.  According to the report, the student did not have a knife; however, he was found to be in possession of a metal flask containing what was believed to be alcohol. The student was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol and placed into the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) by school administration for five days.

Friday, January 24

*9:40 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of China Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a set of Dre Beats headphones were stolen and a possible suspect was named.

*1:06 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding the theft of his identifying information starting in 1986 and continuing to this date.  A suspect has been named, the report states.

*5:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Monterrey Street regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant wished to file charges against the suspect.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 18-year-old Skylour Admire on a warrant for minor in possession.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Bailey Brown of Lubbock for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and possession of marijuana.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Alice Melton for credit card abuse.

 

*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Michael Andrew Stanley of Early on warrants related to unsafe speed, failure to appear, driving while license invalid and failure to render aid injury-accident.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Ryan Yearick of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Saturday, January 25

* 11:46 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2100 block of Woodwind Drive in May, regarding to a theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated his former roommate had taken his X Box360 Kinect game system without his consent.

*11:50 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding a burglary.  According to the report, numerous items of fishing equipment were taken along with a weed eater and two boxes of antique china.

*12:28 PM – Brownwood Police received a report at the law enforcement center regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the accident happened either at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, or Humphrey Pete’s in Early.

*1:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the incident is pending further investigation.

*2:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, four subjects were standing around a gray colored vehicle with California plates asking people for money.  This call led to a citation being issued for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*11:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding an open door on a vending machine.  According to the report, the incident is being investigated as a possible theft from the vending machine.

*11:22 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a restaurant in the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of a cell phone.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on FM 2940 in Rising Star regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had taken his 2004 Dodge 4-door pickup without his consent.  The vehicle was taken sometime between 9:00 PM the night before and 09:00 AM this date, the report states.

*Early Police Department stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Early Blvd for a traffic violation.  According to the report, the driver, 35-year-old Antonio Soldevilla and passenger 34-year-old Javier Hector Orozco both from Dallas appeared very nervous.  After further investigation, EPD officers located approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine and 6 grams of marijuana, the report states. Both Soldevilla and Orozco were arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Each were being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $28,000.

Sunday, January 26

*11:13 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 3800 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding a Ford Explorer traveling northbound and pulling a black colored utility trailer that did not have a license plate.  This stop led to the arrest of 27-year-old Andrew Robert Watkins of San Saba for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

* 12:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence in on Tamarack Drive, in the May area, regarding a report of a burglary.  According to the report, the deputy met with a complainant who stated someone had broken into her father’s lake house sometime in the last 2 ½ weeks.  The complainant stated that someone stole a window air conditioner from inside the home and that a cast iron stove and 6 golf car batteries are also missing from a storage area directly across from the residence, the report states.

*12:33 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding an assault which had already taken place.  According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown individual punched him.  The incident is pending further investigation.

*1:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood business regarding the theft of beer.  According to the report, the suspects were located at a north Brownwood apartment complex and the stolen beer was recovered.  The business declined to pursue theft charges; however, at the request of the business, each suspect was issued a municipal citation for the consumption of alcohol by a minor.

*2:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding an assault.  According to the report, the actor had fled prior to the officer’s arrival and the offense is pending further investigation.

*7:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue for a welfare check on a female who was slumped over in her vehicle.  An investigation was conducted which resulted in 33-year-old Courtney Elmore being arrested and charged with possession and use inhale volatile chemical, the report states.

*9:00 PM – Early Police Department stopped a motorist for a traffic violation and observed some prescription pills in plain view inside the vehicle.  According to the report, the officer checked the pills and determined they were a pain reliever pill which is classified as a dangerous drug. The individual did not have a prescription for the pills, the report states.   The 16-year-old was taken into custody and released to juvenile probation authorities.

*The Brown County Law Enforcement Center received an unidentified 911 call from  2700 block of  W. Main Boulevard on Sunday evening, January 26, 2014.  According to the report, the sound of a female and male screaming could be heard.  Brownwood Police Department officers arrived first and could hear the sound of a voice being muffled, then louder and clear the report states.  The officers entered the house and detained 38- year-old David Ernest Tucknott.  Further investigation showed Tucknott had slapped the caller and had restrained her by holding his hand over her mouth, when officers arrived.  Tucknott was arrested and charged with the offenses of assault causes bodily injury family violence and unlawful restraint.  Additionally Tucknott was issued a trespass warning.

* The Brownwood Law Enforcement Center was called regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the caller requested a criminal trespass warning be issued to the father of her child.  The male subject was at the residence and a Criminal Trespass Warning was issued by a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Raymond Lee Gregory of Rising Star on a Taylor County warrant related to theft of property less than $20 by check enhanced.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old John Dylan Robuck of Austin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Eric Michael Thomas of Austin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Dylan Robert Wilcox of Austin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Monday, January 27

*2:09 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding a suspicious person.  According to the report, a female was located outside of the building on the sidewalk and was observed to have slurred speech and was having issues maintaining her balance.  The female, identified as 45-year-old Mary Dansby Carlisle, was later placed under arrest for public intoxication because she was in a public place and considered a danger to herself and/or others, the report states.
