Friday, January 23

*8:41 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Avenue G regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant did not wish to pursue charges at this time.

*10:02 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding credit or debit card abuse.

*3:23 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were 1st Street regarding the violation of a protective order.  The complainant stated that her boyfriend has attempted to communicate with her via text message, according to the report.

*3:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.  A complainant reported that a male identified as 21-year-old Michael Cade Vaello of Brownwood stole $81.87 in merchandise from the store, according to the report.  Vaello was arrested and charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*4:59 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding criminal mischief.

*6:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Fort Worth Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*7:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Cleburne Street regarding terroristic threat.

*8:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on Blarney Drive regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, a known male was at her residence threatening other occupants.  Further investigation revealed that the male was trying to retrieve his dog, which was taken by the complainant earlier in the day.  The complainant also advised the officer that a known female had stolen a Kindle Fire tablet earlier in the week and they wished to press charges, the report states.  The male suspect’s dog was recovered and transported to the Corinne T. Smith animal shelter as recovered property, and a theft report was made concerning the tablet.  Contact could not be made with either suspect.

*10:33 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Milton Avenue.  According to the report, as a result of this stop, 51-year-old Gary Wayne Laird of Brownwood was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant reported the theft of approximately 50 joints of 2 3/8 inch pipe.  Each joint of pipe is approximately 33 feet in length and is valued at $1.75 per foot and the total value of the pipe stolen is approximately $2,887.50, the report states.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 43-year-old Chris Truitt Barker of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear and theft.

*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Tammy Lynn Berry of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Trent Dale Duffer of Taylor on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated/ 2nd.  Duffer was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 Bond as of Monday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Robert Glen James on a warrant related to failure to appear/resist arrest search or transport.

*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Ashton Blake Locke of Brownwood on warrants related to no driver’s license, speeding 10% or over, and violate promise to appear.

*60-year-old Ronnie Gene McGraw turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Amiee White of Early on a warrant related to compelling prost by force/threat/fraud.  White was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond as of Monday morning.

Saturday, January 24

*2:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the suspect of a previous theft being inside a store.  According to the report, 21-year-old Xavier Jamison of Brownwood was identified as the suspect from a previous theft, was cited for the theft and then arrested on two active warrants.

*8:39 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 381 regarding a domestic disturbance.  Field interviews were conducted and probable cause was developed, which led to 31-year-old James Matthew Roberts of Corpus Christi being arrested for assault family violence/house member with previous conviction.  Roberts was released on $15,000 bond.

*9:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 50-year-old Terry Chantell Parker of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*11:02 PM – Brownwood police made a traffic in the 1300 block of Avenue B after the officer observed a passenger car traveling at a very high rate of speed in the 1100 block of 1st Street, heading south toward Coggin Avenue, according to the police report.  This stop led to the arrest of 31-year-old Rubin Abraham Dillard of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*11:57 PM – A Brownwood Police officer observed a female in her late teens walking in the 1300 block of Avenue J and carrying a bottle of what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage, the report states.  A pedestrian stop was made which led to the arrest of 21-year-old Adrian M. Hopkins for furnishing alcohol to a minor.  Two minors were issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol and minor in consumption of alcohol.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, which made a wide right turn onto Hall Street in Bangs.  After making contact with the driver and advising him of his violation, the deputy asked him to exit the vehicle so he could speak with him.  According to the report, the deputy then spoke with the passenger, identified as 25-year-old Tiffanie Howell of Bangs, who advised she had a marijuana pipe located under the seat area of the vehicle.  Howell was then asked to exit the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted, during which a red colored baggy with white residue was discovered in a purse Howell claimed to be hers, the report states.  The substance tested positive for methamphetamine according to the deputy.   The marijuana pipe was located along with a small marijuana joint, which weighed .2 grams, in a safe in the back seat which was unlocked, according to the report.  After the search, the driver and the vehicle were released and Howell was arrested charged with Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.  Howell was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $27,500 as of Monday morning.

Sunday, January 25

*10:25 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 9th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his Champion 3000 generator was stolen.

*3:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.   According to the report, the business wished to pursue charges and a citation for theft less than $50 was issued to the suspect.

*5:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal mischief.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 59-year-old Randy Pat Patterson of Comanche on a Hill County warrant related to theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old John Raymond Wilkerson of Brownwood for public intoxication.
