Monday, December 3

*8:03 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault.  This call led to the investigation of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*10:25 a.m.-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding identification theft.  According to the report, the complainant provided documentation regarding an ongoing problem with a male subject using the complainant’s identifying information.  The suspect has committed several offenses using the complainant’s information, generating several outstanding warrants which have caused the complainant to be arrested, the report states.  The complainant has previously filed a report with the Brownwood Police Department regarding the same issue and has open cases in several other counties as well, the report states.

*12:44 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the suspect stated that her vehicle was struck sometime between 6:00 p.m. on November 27th and 7:00 a.m. November 28th.  The vehicle was struck in the back left quarter panel by an unknown vehicle which left the scene without leaving the required information, the report states.  There were no suspects at the time of the report according to police.

*1:40 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft of medication.  According to the report, the complainant stayed the night at a friend’s house on Sunday and when she got up on Monday, she was missing medication from her bag.  There were three other subjects in the residence during the time the medication was taken and they have been listed as suspects, the report states.

*3:30 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*3:44 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Belmeade regarding animal cruelty.  According to the report, the complainant advised that someone poisoned his dog, a Blue Healer.

Tuesday, December 4

*9:48 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Carnegie Street, the Brownwood Bulletin, regarding terroristic threat.   According to the report, the incident was investigated and a report for criminal trespass was completed.

*11:30 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of 3rd Street regarding lost property.  According to the report, the complainant reported a ring lost or stolen, but was unsure when the ring was taken.  There was no suspect information at the time of the report.

*12:44 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of a prepaid debit/credit card.

*4:13 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of medication.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she was missing 24 hydrocodone pills and a two month supply of xanax.  A suspect has been named; however, no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

*4:30 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of 13th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was asked by a juvenile neighbor to buy an item for a school fundraiser and so he gave $20 to the juvenile for an item that was to be ordered.  The complainant never received the item and when he contacted the school, he was informed that the juvenile did not attend the school and that they were not having a fundraiser, the report states.

*5:00 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report,  a laptop computer was reported stolen by a rent-to-own company.  The purchaser pawned the property in breach of the purchase agreement, the report states.  The laptop was located at a pawn shop and seized as evidence, according to police.  Both businesses do wish to file charges for theft and applicable damages.

*7:00 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a female caller advised dispatch that she and a male subject were fighting.  However, when the officer arrived at the scene, the female was no longer on scene and the male subject required transport to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center due to a possible medical condition.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Matthew Iyer of Spartanburg, SC, for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Philip Weimer of Fort Worth for driving while license invalid.

Wednesday, December 5

*12:46 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a female caller advised dispatch that her boyfriend had arrived at her residence intoxicated and had assaulted her.  The call was disconnected and when dispatch called back, attempting contact with the female, only the male would answer and he stated that they did not need the police to respond and that he was not going to jail.  No arrest was made; however, the incident was documented.
