Law enforcement reports and arrests released December 5, 2011.

Tuesday, November 29

*3:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce Street regarding a traffic hazard.  According to the report, the officer arrived to find that a semi truck had struck and knocked down telephone lines and a Harris Broadband line.  The driver stated that he was at the location to make a delivery when he drove into the lines, the report states.  Harris Broadband and Verizon responded to the scene to repair the lines, according to the report.

Friday, December 2

*6:26am-Brownwood Police took a report of a terroristic threat in the 3700 block of Savoy Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her neighbor had gotten into an argument and that the neighbor had stated that he would “cut her up.”  There was no act of violence and the suspect had left prior to the officer’s arrival, police reported.

*9:29am-City Marshal Dean Kilburn informed dispatch of an auto-pedestrian accident at the corner of N. Main Street and N Center.  According to the report, a Brownwood Police officer responded to the scene and the female victim stated that she had been struck by a green SUV which had fled the scene.  An investigation is ongoing.  The woman was in good condition and was not injured according to police.

*9:41am-Brownwood Police received a report of the burglary of storage units in the 2800 block of 14th Street.   According to the report, three small units were entered at some point during the night by removing the padlocks; however no items had been taken according to the renters.  One unit sustained damage to the hasp.  There are no suspects at this time.

*9:50am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Coleman Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that two known suspects had broken a window on her mobile home.

*4:02pm-Brownwood Police took a report of a stolen cell phone that has been missing since the evening of November 30th.  According to the report, the complainant provided information on the outbound calls that had been made since the phone was taken.  After following up on this information, police were able to locate the phone on December 3rd and it was returned to its owner, the report states. There is a suspect regarding this theft and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.

*5:31pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Fisk Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, a witness advised that a vehicle had struck a parked vehicle then left the scene.

* According to Brownwood Police Assistant Chief James Fuller, a man reported being robbed at gunpoint in an alleyway and confessed to police that he was on his way to buy drugs Friday evening.

The report stated that a man had been assaulted between 6:30 and 7:00pm in an alleyway on Avenue H.  The male reported that he was on his way to an apartment of a woman who had called him, but that he didn’t remember the exact location of the incident, the report states.   The suspect was described as a Hispanic male; however the suspect could not be located or identified, according to the report.   Fuller stated that the male said he gave the suspect $100 that he was going to use to buy narcotics; however the crime happened before he could make the purchase.  According to Fuller, the woman he was going to visit agreed that he was coming to buy drugs.  Because no drugs were present and there was no evidence of a deal, there were no drug related arrests.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Robert Clark for Theft of Property Equal or Greater than $50 and Less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Amy Ann Gilmore for Driving While License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Bryan James Temple for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest.

Saturday, December 3

*2:17am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of 3rd Street, regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that nothing was taken from her vehicle, and police report that evidence indicated that the motive for the crime was to damage the vehicle and not to steal anything from it.  The front window was broken; however what was used to break the window was not able to be located.  At the time of the report, no suspects could be determined and no arrests were made.

*4:16am-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the area of Durham Avenue and Coggin Avenue when he observed a vehicle make a wide right turn.  According to the report, the call led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 30-year-old Saul Salvador Sanchez for Driving While License Invalid with No Insurance.

*2:45pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2800 block of US Hwy 377.  According to the report, investigation determined that the driver, 24-year-old Enrique Abraham Pesina, to have a suspended license and showed to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest and he was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Surcharge due DWLI and for the active warrant.

*3:34pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of 4th Street regarding an animal complaint.  According to the report, a pit bull had attacked her cat.

*4:07pm-Brownwood Police met with a male complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault.  According to the report, the male had been assaulted by his girlfriend and had visible bruises.  Charges are being filed the report states.

*4:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Austin Avenue.  According to the report, the female complainant reported that an unknown person(s) entered her residence and stole some medication.

*8:25pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding Assault Family Violence.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend threw a hard bound Bible and struck her in the head during an argument.  The officer was unable to locate the suspect at the time of the report and no arrest was made, the report states.

*10:03pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Commerce, Tequila Nights, regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, investigation found that a vehicle hit another vehicle which was unoccupied in the parking lot and then fled the scene.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Zachary Delarosa for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz; Consumption of Alcohol by Minor; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year old Trevolia Jaleel Rudd for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 oz.

*Raymond C. Parsons, Jr. was arrested for Criminal Mischief Equal or Greater than $1500 and Less than $20,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Levi Kye Potter for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

Sunday, December 4

*12:15am-Brownwood Police responded to the EZ Mart in the 400 block of Milton regarding disorderly conduct.  During the call, the store clerk reported that a threat was made to her by a male subject exiting the store, the report states.

*1:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance that had already occurred.  Communications advised the officer of the name of the subject who had left the scene and gave a description of her vehicle.  A warrant will be sought for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*1:26pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Baker Street regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that around 1:00am his wife’s purse was stolen off of a table while they were dancing.  The purse contained only a set of keys and a cell phone.  When the couple could not find the purse, they decided to check on their car which was missing from where they had parked it on the east side of the coliseum earlier in the evening.  According to Assistant Chief James Fuller, the car had not been located as of Monday morning.

*2:06pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Good Shepherd regarding an unsecured child.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Brenna Nicole Cornelius, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid/No Insurance.

Monday, December 5

*9:38pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd in reference to a neighbor hearing yelling from the residence.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been strangled by his girlfriend, 21-year-old Crystal Gayle Newingham.  Newingham was arrested for Assault Family Violence by Strangulation.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
