Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Wednesday, January 23
*10:42 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of Austin Avenue regarding animal cruelty. According to the report, this was a follow up call to one originally placed on January 15th. The report states that a pit bull had been getting out and being aggressive after having been left in a backyard after its owner moved out of the residence approximately three months prior to the complaint. The pit bull was caught by animal control and taken to the shelter at that time. Officers left notices on the left and right gates of the yard as well as the front door of the home for whoever was feeding the animal to call animal control by 4:00pm on January 22nd, the report states. Police received a second call on January 22nd regarding a Rottweiler dog which was also abandoned at the residence which was not being fed, according to the report. Animal Control has not received a call regarding the dog at the residence and it was seized due to lack of care, the report states.
*Bangs Police arrested 41-year-old Israel Arocha on four warrants issued from Bangs Municipal Court.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Yolanda Agapita Arredondo of San Antonio on a warrant for failure to appear related to theft of service greater than $500 less than $1500.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Bradley Ryan Horton of Graham on two warrants, one related to theft over $1500 under $20,000 out of Brown County District Court, and another for theft from elderly individual out of Jones County. Horton is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $30,000.
*Early Police arrested 24-year-old Dustin Ray Matheny for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Rollie Galvan Lopez for Theft and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
*20-year-old Devin Angel Vargas turned himself in to the Brown County Jail on a warrant for his arrest for assault causes bodily injury.
Thursday, January 24
*1:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Vincent Street regarding someone knocking on the complainant’s door and leaving before the complainant could open the door. According to the report, officers arrived to find a subject sitting on the front porch of the residence. The male subject was identified as 40-year-old Thomas Reed Stewart, and determined to be intoxicated, the report states. Stewart was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Terri Ann Barker of Early on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation. Barker is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond.
