Wednesday, December 26

*8:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding trespassing.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had filed a criminal trespass warning against the suspect a few weeks earlier; however the suspect came to his residence and was invited in by a roommate.  An argument ensued and the complainant told the suspect that he was calling police, and the suspect left the residence prior to the officer’s arrival, the report states.  The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges against the suspect for criminal trespass, according to the report.

Friday, December 28

*11:06 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding cruelty to animals.  According to the report, the complainant’s dog had been shot in the 4000 block of 6th Street.

*12:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 36-year-old Jennifer O. Rogers for class B theft (<=$50>$500).

*1:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a welfare check.  According to the report, an aide from a home health agency reported that a client had been assaulted by her daughter.  Information obtained indicates that the 70-year-old female was assaulted by her 32-year-old daughter on December 27th.  No arrest has been made; however, the incident was documented.

*3:30 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding ID theft.

*5:09 PM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 16th Street regarding a weapons offense.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had heard gunshots in the area.  The complainant also gave the officer an envelope which contained a broken transparent glass pipe which had burned residue on the inside.

*10:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Riverside Drive, Duke’s Pub and Grub, regarding an accident.  According to the report, a vehicle was stuck on a guide wire to a telephone pole.  The driver, identified as 24-year-old David Lewis of Rising Star, was later arrested for driving while intoxicated, unlawful carrying weapon, and resisting arrest, according to the report.

Saturday, December 29

*1:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, it was learned that 23-year-old Brandyn Dwight Spears had made a phone call to the residents at this location and threatened bodily harm to one of the residents.  Spears was located walking to the residence in the area in an agitated state and found to be intoxicated, the report states.  Spears was arrested for public intoxication.

*11:07 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the manager of Brookshire’s advised he had caught a male suspect trying to leave the store without paying for items he concealed on his person.  At the request of the store manager, the suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning and a citation for theft less than $50.

*1:45 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of theft of tools which occurred in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  The incident is pending further investigation.

*5:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant indicated that her ex-boyfriend grabbed her arm and took her phone from her during an argument.

*11:40 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of W. Commerce Street for an unreadable license plate.  According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Cody Grady, was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old Travis Alexander for driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old Jeffrey David Jowers of Bangs for driving while intoxicated.

Sunday, December 30

*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the complainant reported that she had left a vehicle on the side of the roadway in front of the Jett Green Insurance office.  The officer noted damage consistent with having been struck by a vehicle, the report states.  The incident was believed to have occurred between December 28th and December 30th and is pending further investigation, according to police.

*8:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant reported that a known person(s) had entered the storage room outside her residence and stole several items.

*9:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Houston Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male and female were fighting in front of a trailer house that was located near her residence.  This call led to the arrest of 35-year-old Jason Loyd Bell for violation of a protective order.

Monday, December 31

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old John Farron Sepulvado for violation of a protective order.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Deleah Bivins Taggart for public intoxication.
