Tuesday, November 27
*8:02 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Calvert Road, Brownwood Middle School regarding two subjects who had been actively fighting on the campus. According to the report, both students were issued citations for disorderly conduct – fighting.
*11:11 a.m.-Brownwood Police received a report of theft at the Brownwood Middle School, 1600 Calvert Road. According to the report, a parent called the resource officer at Brownwood ISD and reported that his son’s school issued computer had been stolen from inside the school. An investigation is ongoing regarding the theft of the computer; however, no suspects were known at the time of the report.
*2:52 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of W. Main Blvd regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant noticed that a door to a shed had been pried open and numerous tools had been stolen. The complainant had been out of town recently and stated that the incident could have happened anytime during the month of November, the report states. Items stolen were valued at approximately $2000.00. A possible suspect was named and the investigation is ongoing according to police.
Friday, November 30
*9:33 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of 4th Street regarding a burglary of a habitation. The complainant stated that several items were missing from her residence, the report states.
*10:17 a.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding found property. According to the report, the apartment manager located a prescription bottle containing hydrocodone in a recently vacated apartment. The officer took possession of the bottle and the owner of the prescription was called to pick up the medication from the Brownwood Police Department, the report states. The owner did not come to pick up the medication which was then logged into the BPD evidence room.
*4:16 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of 5th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the incident was determined to be a verbal argument only; however, 20-year-old Lacy Chantel Jones was arrested for outstanding Brown County warrants for her arrest.
*5:35 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue I regarding the theft of property. The complainant advised that a push lawn mower, metal pipes and metal discs were stolen from his yard, the report states. No suspects could be determined at the time of the report.
*7:42 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Temple Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, while the complainant was out of town, someone broke into his home and took his PlayStation 2 along with 15-20 games without his permission.
*11:52p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft. A complainant stated that while she was out playing bingo, someone came into her home and took all of her “very strong pain medication,” according to the report.
*12:27 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Berkley regarding a domestic disturbance. As a result of the call, 35-year-old Toby James Sikes of Bangs was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Early Police arrested 46-year-old Robert Maurice White for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
Saturday, December 1
*12:44 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to a restaurant in the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding the theft of a purse. According to the report, the complainant stated that her purse contained cash and personal identification. Her credit card/debit card was used at two local businesses, the report states. The investigation is ongoing.
*1:31 a.m.-Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of 5th Street regarding a medical emergency. According to the report, a male and female were “play fighting” and the female’s neck was injured. The officer spoke with all parties and the female was transported for medical treatment. The report states that approximately two hours later, police were again called to the residence in reference to further information on the incident, which was documented.
*1:43 p.m.-Brownwood Police assisted the Brown County Adult Probation Department with a probation search and warrant service at a south Brownwood residence. According to the report, during the search, a prohibited switchblade (butterfly) knife was discovered in the bedroom of the residence along with several articles of drug paraphernalia. The probationer, identified as 38-year-old Donrae Denice Hayes was served the outstanding warrant and arrested, charged with the possession of a prohibited weapon.
*3:00 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. The complainant stated that an unknown subject entered her apartment sometime between the afternoon of November 30th and mid day on December 1st and took a 22-inch flat panel television and a gold right with a November birthstone. These items have an approximate value of $800.00.
*4:14 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle had been “keyed” and sugar was poured into the gas tank while it was being worked on at a residence in the 2600 block of Avenue C. A possible suspect was named; however no arrest was made at the time of the report.
*5:05 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, store employees had a juvenile detained for theft.
*7:00 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, a male subject, identified as 44-year-old Rudolfo Reyna was standing in the parking lot of a convenience store harassing several people. An active trespass warning was confirmed for Reyna regarding the property and he was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass.
*7:17 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a theft had been witnessed by store employees and a female was being detained in the manager’s office for theft. The female, identified as 51-year-old Pamela Ann Wilson of Santa Anna, was arrested for theft less than $1500 with two prior convictions, the report states.
*9:39 p.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, while at the store on a follow up of another case, the officer witnessed another theft in his presence and detained a male juvenile. The juvenile stated that he consumed a large amount of medication in an attempt to kill himself and the officer called for an ambulance to transport the juvenile for evaluation by MHMR at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 46-year-old Suzette Montemayor for driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years.
Sunday, December 2
*12:04 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 16th Street regarding an intoxicated person. According to the report, dispatch advised the officer while en route that the subject was walking in the middle of the road with a beer in his hands and a small child was with him. The officer located the male and the child in the 2700 block of US Highway 377S and could smell a strong odor of alcohol on the male’s person, the report states. The officer made several attempts to have the male subject call someone to come pick him and his son up and was told “no” by the subject who was subsequently placed under arrest for public intoxication, according to police.
*12:33 a.m. – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations in the 300 block of E. Commerce. According to the report, the driver, 40-year-old Jeffery Stewart of Buckeye, Arizona, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. While attempting to arrest Stewart, he resisted; however, control was regained of Stewart and he was arrested, the report states. Stewart was charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
*10:07 a.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding suspicious circumstances. According to the report, a male complainant requested police to come to the residence, but before more information could be obtained, the caller hung up. Contact was made again with the caller who advised that his girlfriend’s ex-husband had assaulted him. 28-year-old Rick Carlos Vargas was arrested for assault causes bodily injury, assault with injury family violence and criminal mischief $50-$500.
*3:38 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of 6th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his girlfriend stole approximately $200 from him.
*4:13 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his wallet was stolen when he left it inside his truck while he waited for his truck to be washed on December 1st. At this time there are no suspects and the investigation is active, police state.
*6:51 p.m.-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, information was obtained which suggested that a physical altercation occurred between the three subjects in the 2500 block of Durham Avenue.
*7:13 p.m.-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding the theft of money. According to the report, the complainant stated that $150 had been stolen out of her wallet when she accidentally left it in the bathroom. No arrests were made at the time of the report.
*11:48 p.m.-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Avenue I. According to the report, the driver identified as 22-year-old Crystal Gayle Newingham was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Ericton Carnell Franklin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana less than or equal to 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Johnathan Paul Oneil for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2-A greater than 2 ounces less than 4 ounces.
Monday, December 3
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Joshua Lee Bailey of Austin for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
