Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, December 28, 2015
Wednesday, December 23
*1:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Malone Street regarding the theft of an ATV, valued at $1200. According to the report, no suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*2:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 4400 block of Edgewood Drive.
*2:46 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of Edwards Street. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Ethan Vance Wills of Brownwood was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction without financial responsibility and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
*4:34 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on County Road 338 regarding a stolen package.
*8:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding theft. An investigation is ongoing the report states.
Thursday, December 24
*12:13 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding theft. The complainant stated that he had discovered a 30/06 rifle missing and a possible suspect was identified.
*3:43 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a suspicious incident. According to the report, a female was passed out in a vehicle in a parking lot. This call led to the arrest of 26-year-old Ashley Nicole Vrba of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone.
*11:24 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Belmeade Street regarding an assault.
*11:39 AM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a former friend had stolen her medication.
*11:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her cell phone had been stolen while she was shopping at the business.
*12:12 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the area of 1st Street and Avenue K regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, the suspect vehicle was followed and a photograph was taken of it; however, the vehicle and the suspect were not located at the time of the report.
*4:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Melwood Street regarding an assault.
*5:14 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Duke Street. According to the report, the vehicle was not displaying a license plate. This stop led to the arrest of 33-year-old Eric Ward of Golden, Colorado for possession of marijuana equal or greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds.
*9:01 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of Good Shepherd regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that her underwear and lingerie was stolen from the residence.
*Texas DPS arrested 31-year-old Lynn Hamilton Scott of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
Friday, December 25
*11:56 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3900 block of 3rd Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, an iPad with a wireless keyboard was found to be missing from the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing the report states.
*4:31 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop in the area of FM 586 and CR 159 after a report of someone firing a weapon from a vehicle. One occupant, 44-year-old Kenneth Jack Brixey, was arrested for deadly conduct – discharge firearm, theft of a firearm and unlawful carrying weapons.
*7:45 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on County Road 234 regarding an assault.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Jerry Herrera of Comanche, for arson, burglary of a building and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
Saturday, December 26
*1:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, as a result of this call, a female suspect was issued a citation for theft of property less than $100.
*2:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue C regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the suspect was not on scene when officers arrived and was found to have violated a protective order. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Keith James Aubel of Bangs was located in Bangs and arrested for violation of a protective order and assault family violence causing bodily injury.
*8:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run.
*10:37 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a club n Hwy 279 regarding an assault.
*11:03 PM – Brownwood Police made a contact with a subject in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue who had been driving and that the officer believed was intoxicated. As a result of the stop, 43-year-old Christopher Barninger of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Brownwood Police arrested 47-year-old Michael Don Fitzgerald of Brownwood on a warrant for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Colten Brett Sawyer of Brownwood for driving under the influence and minor in possession.
Sunday, December 27
*11:08 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.
*11:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3711 block of Savoy Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, several items were taken from the residence.
*7:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue H regarding an assault.
*8:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of a display computer. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 18-year-old Jaron Pellham of Brownwood for theft equal or greater than $100 less than $750.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Christopher Barninger of Brownwood for DWI 2nd.
*Brownwood Police arrested 63-year-old Ryan Weathermon Referda of Brownwood, on warrants for driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
