Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, December 27, 2011.

Wednesday, December 21

*9:46am-Brownwood Police received report at the Law Enforcement Center of a counterfeit $50 bill being passed at Underwood’s Cafeteria on December 17th.  According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.

*11:48am-Brownwood Police received a report at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault which led to the investigation of an assault on a public servant. 

*12:32pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft between $500 and $1500.

*3:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 6th Street regarding a bicycle theft.  According to the report, the bicycle was stolen from the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue and very brief suspect information was available.  The bicycle was described as a green BMX bicycle with foot pegs on the back wheel, the report states.

Thursday, December 22

*9:13am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Anderson Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, there was damage to the front glass door of a business.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*11:59am-Brownwood Police responded to an assault in the 2700 block of Greenway.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her.  After an investigation was complete, warrants were obtained and 32-year-old Marcus Mares, Jr. was arrested for Assault.

*2:39pm-A complainant came to the Law Enforcement Center to turn over an abandoned bicycle that he had found in his property in the 1900 block of Main Blvd.  According to the report, the bicycle was not found to be reported as stolen and was placed into the Brownwood Police Department’s bicycle impound until the owner can properly identify and claim it.

*8:09pm-Brownwood Police responded to a vehicle accident in the 500 block of E. Commerce, in the parking lot of Value Inn.  According to the report, the driver at fault, 62-year-old Maurice Connell, was determined to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd.

*10:16pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Austin and Coggin Avenues regarding a reckless driver.   According to the report, the suspect vehicle was located in the parking lot of the 7-11 on Coggin Avenue.  Investigation determined that the driver, 57-year-old Douglas Wade King, was intoxicated.  King was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd.  The passenger, 56-year-old David Henry Bivins, was also placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.

*11:02pm-Brownwood Police received a report of terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-husband and his sister had been threatening her life and welfare via telephone and Facebook. 

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Jeremiah Joel Heuton for Assault with Injury, Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and two outstanding warrants.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden arrested 65-year-old Tommy McKaughn of Brownwood for Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, Criminal Trespass and Hunting without Land Owner Consent.

Friday, December 23

*2:12am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of 10th Street regarding harassment.  According to the report, the incident involved two males and a female, with one of the males eventually pushing the other male.  The incident took place in the 2200 block of Avenue C, the report states.

*11:49am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known male took her truck without her permission.  An investigation is pending. 

*1:18pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of US Hwy 377 regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, $182 cash was stolen from the complainant’s vehicle the previous night.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*1:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2100 block of 9th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, 21-year-old Alex Lucky Gil, Jr. for Criminal Mischief, Burglary of a Vehicle, and Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault.

*2:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Victoria regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime during the night an unknown suspect caused damage to a tool box mounted in the bed of the complainant’s vehicle.  The estimated value of the tool box is $200.  The complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified, the report states.

*3:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had cut three tires on her vehicle at 6:00am.  The value of the tires was estimated at $120.  The complainant wished to pursue charges, the report states.

*3:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had received a ride from a former coworker and an unknown male to a convenience store to buy some cigarettes.  When he went into the store, the coworker and other male drove off with his wallet which contained his identification and approximately $240 in cash.

*11:00pm- A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on south on Hwy 183 about a mile north of May, Texas at approximately 11:00pm Friday, after he noticed a Chevy Suburban with a headlight that was out.   According to the report, the deputy noticed the driver, identified as 21-year-old Garrett Allan Jenkins of Fort Worth, to be acting quite nervous and the deputy could see a chewed cigar piece in the passenger side floorboard.  The deputy reported that typically these cigars are remains of a marijuana cigar that have had the marijuana eaten out of them to hide evidence.  According to the report, a metal tin in his jeans pocket was found and opened to check for weapons and approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine was located in a small blue bag which it contained.  Another deputy was in the patrol car and assisted with the search and arrest of Jenkins for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 greater than 1g less than 4g.  Jenkins vehicle was also searched and two syringes along with a Smith and Wesson revolver (which was reported stolen from Irving, Texas) was located under the front seat, the report states.  Jenkins was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and Theft of a Firearm. 

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old Reba Buffington for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Garrett Wayne Drake of San Anselmo, California for Possession of Marijuana Less than or Equal to 2 oz. in a Drug Free Zone.

Saturday, December 24

*12:01am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a stop sign. During investigation, the driver, 30-year-old Arnulfo Rodrigo Hernandez, Jr. of Early, was determined to be intoxicated and admitted to having been drinking, the police report states.  Hernandez was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated 1st and submitted to a voluntary blood draw at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

*4:26am-Brownwood Police were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Willis Street regarding a large fight.  Officers had been to this location regarding a loud party earlier that evening according to the report.  Upon the responding officer’s arrival, he was met by a shirtless male that was extremely intoxicated and aggressive, police stated.  The male, identified as 20-year-old Khayman Broadi Delarosa, had cuts on his arms and face after having been in a fight with several males over an incident regarding his mother, the report states.  The first BPD officer arrived and was blocked by Delarosa from entering the residence in order to check on the other party goers, the report states.  Delarosa and the officer wrestled until two other officers showed up.  According to the report, Delarosa then lunged at one of the officers (after being told by officers, family and friends to stop)and grabbed the officer by the throat leaving marks on his neck.  Officers wrestled Delarosa to the ground and handcuffed him, arresting him for Assault on a Public Servant, Interfere with Public Duties.  Delarosa refused to stand after being handcuffed and was carried to the patrol car, the report states.  Delarosa then attempted to fight jailers at the Brown County Jail according to BPD officials.

*4:34am-Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, there were no arrests at the scene.    

*9:05am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Avenue B regarding a stolen bicycle.  According to the report, a 21-speed bicycle was stolen from the residence overnight.  An investigation is ongoing.

*7:06pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Water Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, items stolen included an overnight bag containing make-up, jewelry and clothing.  The value of the items was estimated at $750.  Entry was gained through the window which was broken with a brick, the report states.

*7:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Center Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the window on the front passenger side of the complainant’s vehicle was damaged.  The value of the window was estimated at $300.

*9:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of W. Chandler Street.  According to the report, 26-year-old Lance Brantley Hines of Early reported that he and a female had been involved in an argument when she pushed him causing him to fall down some stairs.  While police were talking with Hines, the female arrived at the scene and said she had been in an argument with Hines but had left, and denied pushing Hines.  The female stated to officers that she left because Hines was “acting like a fool” and that was why he fell, the report states.  Hines continued to accuse the female of pushing him until a witness stated that they never saw the female push Hines, according to the report.  After admitting to police that he lied, the report states that Hines stated that he did so because he “wanted her to be put in jail.”  Hines was arrested for False Report to Police Officer.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 52-year-old Timothy Rex Prickett for Driving While Intoxicated.

Sunday, December 25

*1:49am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Slayden Street regarding a domestic disturbance.   According to the report, the complainant met officers at the entrance to the apartment complex.  This call led to the arrest of 28-year-old Raeshawna Beasley for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*8:49am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Cleburne regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her live-in boyfriend had pushed her into a door frame and slapped her across the face.  There were no signs of injury and the complainant did not wish to pursue charges, the report states.

*6:20pm-Brownwood Police received a report of a possible intoxicated subject at the intersection of US Hwy 377S and Crockett Drive.  This call led to the arrest of 27-year-old Mark Anthony Browning of Louisiana on charges of Public Intoxication.

*Bangs Police arrested 23-year-old Michael Wayne Hayes for Driving While License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Monica Elaine Villarreal for Driving While Intoxicated.

Monday, December 26

*11:51am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Chandler regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend  had moved out of the residence and then returned, stealing several items of clothing, a memory card and a cell phone charger.

*1:53pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant advised that her ex-spouse had entered the residence and stole items from her purse and medication.

*4:13pm-Brownwood Police received a report of animal cruelty in the 1700 block of Avenue B regarding a cat that had been shot with an arrow.  Upon officer’s arrival, the cat still had an arrow through its body and was photographed prior to the complainant taking it to the animal shelter to be put down.  There was no suspect information and no history of anyone having a bow in the area.

*7:45pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her aunt had been assaulted by her husband in their residence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 21-year-old Blake Cantwell of Zephyr for Driving While License Invalid-SR.

Tuesday, December 27

*12:01am-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding two females who were intoxicated and passed out in the baby isle of the store.  According to the report, officers arrived to find two females, identified as 28-year-old Leann Viola Curtis of Mullin and 30-year-old Brandi Marie Spivey of Blanket.  Curtis was arrested on scene for Public Intoxication and upon Spivey’s release from the hospital; she was also arrested for Public Intoxication.

*Bangs Police Department arrested 27-year-old Noah J. Coppler of Santa Anna for Driving While License Invalid with Prior Convictions.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
