Thursday, December 20

*1:23 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding an internet scam.  A man who lives out of state had fallen victim to an internet scam and lost a total of $500.  The money was said to have been picked up in Brownwood, Texas.

Friday, December 21

*12:20 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of E. Commerce to Budget Inn regarding a hit and run.  The complainant told police that her passenger car was damaged.  A possible suspect was identified.

*12:47 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1800 block of 10th Street for multiple violations.  This stop resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Clarence McDowell, Jr. of Brownwood for disorderly conduct expose genitals in a public place, according to the police report.

*2:20 PM – Brownwood Police received information regarding burglary of a coin operated machine in the 2600 block of Austin Avenue.  A power vac was also damaged and valued at $700.

*7:45 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of Booker regarding a burglary.

*8:57 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a noise nuisance in the 1100 block of Roselawn Drive at Coggin Park.  As a result of the call, one juvenile was issued two citations for possession of drug paraphernalia and for minor in possession of tobacco.

*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Reynaldo Garza of Early for theft of property and driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*42-year-old Tracy Lynn Hoover of Brownwood was arrested on prohibited substance in a correctional facility, four counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of a dangerous drug.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Gregory Lamar Jones of Allen for possession of marijuana.

*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Nathaniel Webb of Brownwood for DWI 2nd and no driver’s license 2nd.

*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Cynthia Elaine Williams of Tyler for public intoxication.

Saturday, December 22

*10:55 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce to Budget Inn regarding an unwanted person.  The call led to the arrest of 40-year-old Christopher Carlson for criminal trespass.

*5:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of 3rd Street regarding theft.  The complainant said that a leather motorcycle jacket was stolen from the business.

*6:05 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a minor two-vehicle accident on the corner of Avenue K and Elizabeth.  Officers were told that the driver of one vehicle made a statement that he did not have a driver’s license and walked away from the crash scene.  The report states that the driver was identified and that criminal charges will be filed.

*6:50 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a possible theft of a vehicle.  The vehicle was determined to be community property turning the call into a civil matter.  The subject told police that she was assaulted by her common-law husband earlier in the day.  Police took a report of assault family violence and gave the complainant several options.

*8:44 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Durham regarding a domestic disturbance.   After investigation of the call, 46-year-old Gary Wilkins was arrested for assault causes bodily injury.

*10:30 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding an intoxicated person.  As a result of the call, 17-year-old Trevor Ray Rogers Ross of Brownwood was arrested for public intoxication.

*11:37 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of 2nd Street regarding a runaway juvenile.

Sunday, December 23

*12:29 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 3400 block of Stephen F. Austin.  When officers arrived, they discovered that the vehicle had left the scene.  The vehicle struck a road sign and drove on private property.  Witnesses on scene provided a description of the vehicle.

*12:20 PM – Brownwood Police received a report regarding a burglary of a vehicle and took a statement from the victims.

*7:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of Cottage Street regarding an animal complaint.

*10:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding theft.   The reporting party told police that money had been stolen from the business.

*11:57 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Fisk Avenue regarding a weapons offense.  The complainant told police that a vehicle drove in front of his house, made a racial statement, and pointed a small handgun at him, then drove away.  The complainant provided a description of the vehicle.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Kolton Dane Griffith of Merkel for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Timothy John Turner of Rising Star for purchase/furnish alcohol to minor.

Monday, December 24

*9:19 AM – A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop for speeding in the 2700 block of Southside Drive.   The driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Mills County.

*1:57 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of S. US 377 regarding theft.  The complainant said that a male subject went into the store and retrieved items from the shelf and told the employee that he just bought them during a previous purchase.

*4:22 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on the corner of Gifford and Hall Street.  The vehicle struck a utility pole.  According to the report, 48-year-old Terry Beason of Brownwood was arrested for DWI 3rd or more as a result of the call.

*5:16 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 4600 block of Kay Drive regarding a weapons offense.  The police report states that officers obtained information that a male subject pointed a firearm at another male subject outside of the residence and made a threat to shoot.  36-year-old Daniel Buitron of May was arrested as a result of this call for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*Early Police arrested 29-year-old Kassi Tyson for DWI 2nd.

Tuesday, December 25

*2:09 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the corner of Avenue A and Rogan Street for a domestic disturbance.  The report states that the male subject involved had left the scene with his children prior to police arrival. Police are continuing their investigation regarding assault by threat of offensive touch.

*4:09 PM – Brownwood Police met with a woman at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault.  The complainant said that she was assaulted by another woman earlier in the day.
