Friday, December 20
*12:28 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding fraud. According to police, the complainant reported an individual who was fraudulently obtaining and using Supplemental Security Income (SSI) from Social Security, food stamps and child support benefits. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*2:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, the calling party observed a female who was concealing items in an attempt to steal them. The female was located and issued a citation for theft less than $50 along with a criminal trespass warning.
*2:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the reporting party stated that 27-year-old Amanda Marie Bramlett of Comanche had been observed attempting to pass all points of sale without paying for $573.72 of merchandise. Bramlett was charged with theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old John Simon Armendarez on warrants related to unlawful possession of a firearm by felon, two counts of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 4 grams less than 200 grams, prohibited weapon – knuckles, and unlawful carrying weapon. Armendarez was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $85,000 as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Kevin Owen Ragsdale of Waxahachie on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Colby Don Thompson on a warrant related to repeated violation of bond. Thompson was being held in the Brown County Jail on a $100,000 bond as of Monday morning.
Saturday, December 21
*9:20 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that a neighbor had made a threatening gesture after she made a police report after being bitten by the neighbor’s dog.
*2:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding a lost or stolen wallet containing cash, checks and several credit cards.
Sunday, December 22
*5:23 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding the theft of property. According to the report, the caller stated that a male and female attempted to steal numerous items from the store and that they had fled in a red vehicle when confronted.
*Bangs Police arrested 24-year-old Julian Carbajal of Austin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, possession of a dangerous drug, and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
*Ashley Nicole Lawson turned herself in on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Bangs Police arrested 23-year-old Trey Matthew Parrish of Lubbock for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and motion to revoke/aggravated assault
Monday, December 23
*12:48 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding an unwanted person. An investigation determined the suspect was charged with failure to meet requirements in complying with place of residence as a sex offender, the report states.
