Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, December 22, 2010.

Thursday, December 16

*3:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce, a local check cashing business, regarding fraud.  According to police reports, the complainants advised the officer that two males had walked into the business earlier in the morning between 9am and 12pm and cashed four business checks which are now suspected to be fraudulent.

Tuesday, December 21

*3:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to Davis Lane regarding suspicious circumstances.  A narcotics investigation was initiated which led to the arrest of 20-year-old Damian Jefferson for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

*A Brownwood Police officer spoke with a complainant regarding theft of a debit card and social security card.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his roommate had taken the cards and has made unauthorized transactions with the debit card.  The complainant wished to pursue charges the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 45-year-old Cassidy Burleson for Driving While Intoxicated.

*8:30pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of service.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her water meter had been tampered with and a pipe placed to route water to a neighboring property without her permission.  An investigation is ongoing; however the complainant does wish to pursue charges for the damages to the water meter and the value of the water stolen the report states.

*9:28pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 46-year-old Montie Ray Greenwood of Proctor for Terroristic Threat of Family/Household.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
