Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, December 20, 2010.
Friday, December 17
*9:50am-Brownwood police were called to the 1300 block of W. Austin regarding theft. According to the report, the officer spoke with the complainant who stated that approximately 30 vehicle rims were missing from his property. The report states that officers located the rims in 38-year-old Christopher Laureles’ possession in the 1500 block of Melwood. Laureles, of Bangs, was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property.
*10:06am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a local restaurant in the 3200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation found that a window unit air conditioner had been stolen from a location near the business between the morning of Dec. 16 and the current day. Evidence was collected by officers at the scene and a suspect has been identified in connection with the theft the report states.
*3:13pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Brady Avenue regarding a burglary. According to the report, investigation determined that an unknown suspect had entered the residence by force and two prescription medications were taken. No suspects had been identified at the time of the report.
*3:44pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of Main Blvd. regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, two complainants asked that a male subject, who they stated is constantly “beating on their doors and cursing at them,” be issued a trespass warning. The male was located in the parking lot of the apartment complex where he was issued the trespass warning for both apartments.
*5:12pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Anderson regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the officer spoke with the complainant who stated her spouse had threatened to kill her. She wished to pursue charges against him for making the threat the report states.
*7:18pm-Brownwood Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the 1500 block of 2nd Street. Investigation led to the arrest of 54-year-old David Wayne Clark for an active warrant for Forgery of a Financial Instrument the report states.
*9:17pm-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 2400 block of 4th street, when he observed a vehicle with a defective left head lamp. According to the report, a traffic stop was made which resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Karen Thomas for Driving While License Invalid and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Hector Trujillo on a Border Patrol detainer.
Saturday, December 18
*12:12am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a motorcycle crash in the 300 block of E. Commerce. Police reports indicate that after speaking with witnesses, it was determined that a small red passenger vehicle turned right in front of the motorcycle, which resulted in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was treated on scene for minor injuries and released the report states. There is little suspect vehicle information at this time.
*1:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a BRMC patient room regarding an unwanted person identified as 37-year-old Rachell Denece Hicks of DeLeon. According to the report, after asking Hicks to perform standard field sobriety tests, it was determined she was intoxicated and a danger to herself and/or others. Hicks was arrested for Public Intoxication.
*3:22am-Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft of alcohol in the 2800 block of US 377S.
*3:36pm-A Brownwood Police officer observed a subject driving that he knew did not have a Texas driver’s license. According to the report, the officer conducted a traffic stop during which communications advised the driver had two previous convictions for no driver’s license. The driver, identified as 25-year-old Fernando Santos Perez, was arrested for Driving with License Invalid.
*6:32pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Oak Park Drive regarding a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred at the Brownwood Post Office. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*9:38pm-Brownwood Police received a call of a disturbance in the 1800 block of 7th Street. Upon arrival, officers found a male subject on scene that had broken a window of the residence the report states. The suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Larry Dee Carter, Jr., was arrested for criminal mischief. Due to a laceration on his arm, Carter was treated at BRMC ER prior to booking in at the Brown County Jail.
Sunday, December 19
* 12:15 am-Early Police responded to a disturbance call at a residence in the 200 block of Gorman Dr. which resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Antonia Felan for Aggravated Assault Family Violence. According to the report, a 25-year-old male, who was living with Felan, stated he told her he was leaving her and she became upset. Felan hit the victim 2 times in the chest and once in the jaw, then grabbed a baseball bat and came at the victim attempting to hit him the report states. The victim was able to get the bat away from Felan before she struck him according to the report. Felan was then arrested for aggravated assault.
*9:39pm-Brownwood Police dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Avenue B. Investigation led to the arrest of 59-year-old Victor Mendosa for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*2:20pm-Brownwood police were called to a burglary in the 1400 block of Avenue C. According to the report, the complainant stated that several items had been stolen from his residence. A description of the stolen property taken; however no suspect information was available at the time of the report. An investigation is ongoing.
*8:22pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3800 block of 1st Street regarding a citizens’ dispute. Neither party wished to file charges and the individuals involved were separated for the night the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Doug Richard Adams of Santa Anna for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Early Police arrested 43-year-old Ronnie Patterson of Early for Public Intoxication.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
