Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report on November 21, 2015 from a repossession agent that stated he had a pistol pointed at him in a threatening manner when he tried repossess a vehicle from a property on FM 2490 in Rising Star, Texas. According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, the vehicle belonged to 34-year-old Lynn Isbell, who was the suspect in the incident. On November 30th, BCSO investigators obtained a search and arrest warrant by the Brown County Court at Law for aggravated assault by threatening with a deadly weapon, the document states. The search warrant was for the home of Isbell in the 5300 block of FM 2490.
December 2nd, at approximately 8:46 a.m., BCSO investigators took Isbell into custody for the arrest warrant in the driveway of his residence, according to the affidavit. The search warrant was then executed on the home. Also present at the home were Isbell’s wife, 31-year-old Amanda Isbell and their two small children, along with the resident of the guest house on the property, 18-year-old Dexter Bolds, according to the investigator.
Items to be searched for in the warrant included a black semi-automatic handgun and handgun ammunition, according to the affidavit. Upon searching the residence and outbuildings, investigators were able to find a black semi-automatic handgun under the mattress of Lynn Isbell’s bed, 11 rifles, another handgun, and military vest type body armor, the affidavit states. Isbell is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms or any type of body armor, the affidavit states. Hundreds of rounds of ammunition including various handgun rounds, shotgun rounds and high power rifle rounds were found, according to the affidavit. Also found on the chair in the living room was a metal cigarette case with a methamphetamine scoop straw and two plastic baggies containing methamphetamine residue, the investigators reported. Another straw scoop and baggies with methamphetamine residue were found in an attached room of the house. Also found in a room attached to the Isbells’ room, was a small amount of marijuana, according to the document. In the basement of the home, equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine was also located, the affidavit reports.
All of the residents were arrested. Lynn Allen Isbell was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, two counts of endangering a child, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Amanda Isbell was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, two counts of endangering a child, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Dexter Kyle Bolds was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and two counts of endangering a child.

*10:45PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Willow Drive regarding the violation of protective order. According to the report, the victim wished to have a criminal trespass warning issued to the suspect for her residence, which was served.
Monday, November 30
*6:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Magnolia regarding theft. According to the report, between 10 PM on Sunday, November 29th and 6 AM Monday items were stolen from one of the residences at the apartment complex.
Tuesday, December 1
*9:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a Yellow Jacket tubing bender, valued at $200, was stolen from the vehicle.
*11:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 3rd Street regarding an assault. According to the report a male and female were walking down the street and a pickup pulled up beside them, shooting the male pedestrian in the left side of his stomach with a dart gun. The male victim was checked by EMS regarding his injury, according to police. No suspects are known and no arrests had been made at the time of the report, however, an investigation of an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon is ongoing, according to the report.
*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Joe Dell Knowles for criminal mischief and public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Kory Lowery of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana and motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana (Kendall County).
Wednesday, December 2
*5:19 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a verbal argument. According to the report, a windshield was damaged during the argument. A report of criminal mischief was made.
*8:12 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Avenue H in Blanket, TX regarding the theft of property. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had discovered someone had stolen the washer/dryer set and an air conditioning window unit from his rent house. Possible suspects were named, the report states.
*10:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 11th Street regarding the criminal trespass of a habitation. According to the report, a subject had entered the home without the resident’s permission.
*2:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was assisting narcotic agents serving a search warrant when he was advised of an illegal dump site on the property behind the residence. The total weight of the contents of the site were estimated to be well in excess of 1,000 pounds, resulting in a criminal charge of illegal dumping (a state jail felony). The witness named two possible suspects and stated that they had been taking household trash and debris from rental properties to the illegal dump site.
*3:28 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of criminal mischief at a property on County Road 234 in Brownwood. According to the report, the property owner and complainant stated that a young male in a ball cap backed his camouflaged pickup truck into her front yard, knocked down metal stakes holding a rope fence up. There was no monetary loss according to the report; however, the suspect was contacted and issued a criminal trespass warning.
*3:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, someone had stolen $60 from the complainant’s vehicle.
*9:29 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Good Shepherd Drive.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of debit/credit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant stated that $1,732 in fraudulent charges were made using his credit card. According to the report, the complainant stated he had lost his wallet containing his credit card on Monday, November 30, 2015. The wallet containing the credit card was found by Wal-Mart employees and returned to the complainant.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business located on East US Hwy 377 in Early regarding batteries missing off of a school bus which was parked on the lot. According to the report, the offence occurred at some time in the last two weeks and there are no suspects.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Michael Espitia of Brownwood on a warrant related to two counts of robbery. Espitia was later released on $25,000 bond.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 30-year-old Vaughn Pierre Walker of Brownwood on warrants related to no driver’s license and failure to appear.
Thursday, December 3
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Brandi Michelle Holloway of Brownwood on warrants related to expired driver’s license and violate promise to appear.
*Early Police arrested 44-year-old Jason Pierce of Brady for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Richard Leroy Prather of Victoria, Texas on a warrant related to engaging in organized criminal activity/forgery. Prather was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Thursday morning.
