Law enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, January 22, 2014:
Monday, January 20
*3:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine. An investigation led to the discovery that a coin operated vending machine had been broken into and a suspect was identified. A trespass warning was issued to a non-resident of the apartment complex, the report states. It was estimated that the coin box and its contents, approximately $50 in coins, were taken from the machine.
*5:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding the issuance of a trespass warning to an unwanted subject.
*5:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding civil standby. Officers were informed by the male half of the incident that he was struck in the face by his girlfriend earlier in the day, according to the report. No injuries were visible, the report states. Both parties informed officers that some of their property was damaged by the other party and each person wanted to pursue charges, the report states.
*5:46 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd., LaQuinta Inn, regarding theft. According to the report, $200 was allegedly stolen from a desk drawer in the manager’s office of the business.Tuesday, January 21
*7:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of 1st Street regarding criminal mischief.
*9:03 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding credit/debit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant stated that his wallet was stolen from his unsecured vehicle while it was parked at Big G’s Grocery Store near Lake Brownwood. The wallet contained his debit card which was fraudulently used at stores in Brownwood, the report states.
*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant reported numerous gaming items missing from her home. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be determined.
*10:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of 2nd Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant advised that her ex-boyfriend spit in her face and left. Although she did not wish to pursue criminal charges, the complainant did wish for a criminal trespass warning to be issued to the ex-boyfriend.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 36-year-old Fredrick Wayne Benson on a warrant related to failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Jennifer Loraine Crader on a parole violation.
*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 17-year-old Cynthia B. Flores on a warrant related to assault on a public servant.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Sarah Lee Goodman for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Roy Thomas Rankin (AKA Chris Rinkin) of Cross Plains on warrants related to driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility, bail jumping and failure to appear, and a parole violation.
Wednesday, January 22
*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum of Bangs for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Early Police arrested 46-year-old Dina Renee Gilmore of Early on an Erath County warrant related to theft of property equal to or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.
