Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, December 19, 2011.
Friday, December 16
*11:00am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Durham Avenue regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person had broken a window at the residence.
*2:33pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3100 block of Milam Drive, Festival Park, regarding a vehicle which was “mudding and getting stuck on the north field.” According to the report, the City of Brownwood requested a report be filed due to the landscape being damaged. The suspect was identified and released at the scene.
*5:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Depot Liquor, 1001 Vine Street regarding a male who stole a bottle of liquor and then returned it to the owner. According to the report, 5 bottles of liquor were found in the suspect vehicle, valued at $159.85. Surveillance video and witness testimony provided information that three suspects were planning the theft and planning to “drink and party” during the night, the report states. 42-year-old Joe Richard Cadena, Jr., 23-year-old Johnny Blanchard Williamson, and 33-year-old Todd Dana Turner were arrested for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Turner and Cadena were additional charged with Public Intoxication. At the time of the arrests, none of the subjects possessed any money or instrument used for payment of items according to police.
*11:37pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 900 block of N. Fisk Street. According to the report, the driver, identified as 30-year-old Danny Salinas Diaz, was found to be driving while his license was suspended and that he had current convictions for Driving While License Invalid. Diaz was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Dangelo Perea of Abilene for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Norman Christopher Soward for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
Saturday, December 17
*12:05am-A Brownwood Police officer was observing traffic when he noted a pickup exiting the parking lot of the Crazy Lemon Bar and then accelerated at a high rate of speed on N. Fisk Avenue, police reports state. The officer followed the vehicle and observed a traffic violation and made a stop. The driver, identified as 38-year-old Jeffery Canada, stated that he was headed to his residence near Lake Brownwood, the report states. The officer could smell alcohol from Canada’s breath according to the report. Canada stated that he had four mixed drinks at the bar over the prior four hours, the report states. This stop led to the arrest of Canada for Driving While Intoxicated.
*12:45am-Brownwood Police was dispatched to the 1000 block of 11th Street regarding an assault that took place earlier in the evening. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject had hit her on the cheek and scratched her face. The complainant told officers that the suspect believes the complaint is trying to have a sexual relationship with the suspect’s boyfriend. At 3:00am, the officer was called to the Kroger parking lot where the complainant reported the front and rear windows of her vehicle were broken out. The report states that the suspect from the assault was named as a possible suspect in the criminal mischief to the vehicle due to the suspect having made threats to the complainant that she would break all the windows out of the complainant’s car. The complainant met police at Kroger because she had been at a party at a residence near TSTC and other party goers did not want police at the residence, according to the report.
*12:53am-A Brownwood Police officer on patrol in the area of Carnegie and US Hwy 377S conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. After investigation, the driver, 32-year-old Joe Moseley of Austin, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
*1:55am-Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of Main Street regarding a female who reported being struck by a vehicle on Vine Street two hours prior to the call. According to the report, the complainant stated she had minor injuries after being struck by the vehicle. An informational report was filed and no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*4:00am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Lee Street regarding missing medications. According to the report, the complainant was unable to locate her Xanax and Hydrocodone and stated that they were last seen December 16th at 8:00pm.
*4:04am-While patrolling in the 1200 block of Roselawn Street, a Brownwood Police officer noticed a white Land Rover with an unknown substance thrown on the passenger side of the vehicle. According to the officer, the registered owner was located and that she wished to pursue charges for criminal mischief if a suspect is identified. The report states that there have many incidents of items being thrown at the vehicle for quite some time.
*1:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a gas drive off. According to the report, the suspect stole $67.00 worth of gas and left the scene.
*7:04pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 900 block of Center Avenue for failure to signal intent to turn. Upon making contact, the driver, 51-year-old Glenna Gale Dudley, advised the officer that she did not have insurance on her vehicle, the report states. Dispatch informed the officer that Dudley also had a suspended driver’s license. Dudley was placed under arrest for Driving While License Invalid/Suspended with no Insurance.
*11:31pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop at 800 N. Fisk Avenue. Investigation determined that the driver, 27-year-old Brandi Nicole Watson, was intoxicated. Watson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and she agreed to a blood sample at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Watson’s vehicle was released to another sober occupant of the vehicle.
Sunday, December 18
*12:33am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Indian Creek regarding an accident involving an intoxicated driver. Investigation determined that the driver was intoxicated and he was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The 24-year-old driver submitted to a blood sample at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Due to the subject undergoing medical evaluation for possible injuries, he was released pending filing of criminal charge.
*3:50am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of 11th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her wallet containing $400 had been stolen. A possible suspect was named; however no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*10:42am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Hillsboro regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the female complainant stated that she was assaulted by two females while at the residence.
*3:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of W Commerce regarding the theft of the complainant’s 16 foot flatbed trailer.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 48-year-old William Mike Benton of Bangs for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd, Unlawful Carrying Weapon and for a Parole Violation.
*Early Police Department arrested 27-year-old Jeremy Allen Bicknell for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Jacob Andrew Bross of North Hollywood, California for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 2, less than 1g.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Justin Shane Duncan of Cleburne for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 43-year-old Travis Wayne Gossett of Mullin for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd.
*Early Police Department arrested 18-year-old Janet Martinez of Early for Theft of Property Greater than or Equal to $50 Less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old Martin Mindieta for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Morgan Brooke Riley for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2 oz; Public Intoxication; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
