Friday, December 12
* 7:17 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a traffic accident on County Road 411 where foul play was suspected between the two vehicles. According to the report, after the deputy determined no foul play was involved in the accident, the male driver of one of the vehicles was issued a criminal trespass warning for his brother’s address.
*8:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been keyed and an investigation is ongoing.
*10:22 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Market Place Blvd., La Quinta Inn, regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male subject had allegedly damaged his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle and fled the scene. This call led to the arrest of 28-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. of Brownwood for criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*6:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Slayden Street regarding theft of a backpack and laptop computer. The suspect is not known, the report states.
*6:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 43-year-old Ruben Cadena of Brownwood for a Brown County warrant related to a surety withdrawal /possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and for burglary of a habitation. The stolen property was recovered and returned to the owners, the report states. Cadena was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $13,000 as of Monday morning.*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration on Avenue D in Brownwood. This stop led to the arrest of 23-year-old Julie Jeanette Alvarado May for Failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Saturday, December 13
*12:12 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of W. Commerce Street. This stop led to the arrest of 41-year-old Shane Richards of Brownwood for the offense of driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*2:04 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her bicycle had been stolen from in front of her apartment between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and midnight on December 12th.
*10:53 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding alleged child abuse and neglect. According to the report, after speaking with the victim and his father, allegations were made about abuse from the mother and stepfather. The victim described to the officer his being struck by a whip (the small kind used to show livestock)2-3 times a week on his back and buttocks and being locked in his room for several days at a time, having only cereal and tuna mashed together for food, according to the report. The victim also stated that he was not allowed out to go to the bathroom and was forced to defecate and urinate on the floor of his bedroom, the report states. Further investigation is pending and CPS was previously made aware of the reported incidents, the report states.
* 1:50 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was informed by dispatch to contact a complainant via telephone regarding fraud. The deputy spoke with the complainant who informed the deputy that he had recently found out someone was using his information to make credit card charges to him, the report states. The incidents were documented, according to law enforcement.
*3:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Belmeade Street regarding a hit and run accident.
*4:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Wesley Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, someone had entered the complainant’s home and stole a Christmas tree, a wooden shelf and a rooster and hen set of Jim Beam bottles. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*11:10 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim wishes to pursue criminal charges against the suspect.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was working patrol when he conducted a traffic stop on a blue 2007 Dodge 1500 truck with a Montana license plate. According to the report, the driver’s nervous behavior and inconsistent stories led to a request for consent to search the truck, which was denied. The canine officer was called to the scene and deployed the K9 on the truck and an alert was given, the report states. A probable cause search led to the arrest of Edward Walter Grubb, Myles Anthony Alteri, and Melissa Kathereene Gunderson (all of Minnesota) for possession of substance in penalty group 1 less than 1 gram. Grubb was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning. Alteri and Gunderson were each being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $5000 bond as of Monday morning.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Roland Jacob Robledo of Brownwood, advised the deputy that he didn’t have his identification on him. The passenger was identified and Robledo initially advised the deputy that his name was Jose Solis, the report states. After an investigation and an officer Brownwood Police Dept helping the deputy identify the driver, Robledo was placed under arrest for failure to identify, according to the report. It was later brought to the deputy’s attention Robledo also had a parole warrant, the report states. The vehicle was released to its owner and the passenger was released at the scene.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Eric Andrade for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a school zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Derrick Dawayne Johnson of Brownwood on warrants related to no hunting license, no hunter safety course, violate promise to appear and consumption of alcohol by minor.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Thanh Diep Lam of Austin for possession of marijuana.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 37-year-old Will Mitchell of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance not in a penalty group.
*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 32-year-old Rick Lee Rodriguez for driving while intoxicated third. Rodriguez was being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Joseph Villescas of Midland for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*29-year-old Jeffery Bruce Edward Weldon of Santa Anna turned himself in on a warrant related to three counts of forgery.
Sunday, December 14
*9:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of N. Main Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her granddaughter had stolen and pawned her anniversary ring. The incident was documented, the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old David Ray Holt, Jr. for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Rebekah Tran of Round Rock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old Frank Linh Vo of Round Rock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Monday, December 15
*3:13 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of 13th Street regarding an assault.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Nelson Scott Bundrick of Austin for driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content equal or greater than 0.15.
