Wednesday, December 12

*5:59 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Temple Avenue regarding theft.

*6:30 p.m. – Brownwood Police received a report of a scam by telephone.  According to the report, the complainant was contacted by a company that promised she could make $500 per lead for a merchant service, and she invested $7,000 she obtained off of her credit card.  She was told by the company that it would take several months for the process to begin to become profitable and receive payment, the report states.  It has now been six months and the company’s numbers have been disconnected or have a busy signal when the complainant has attempted to contact the company, according to the report.

*2:33 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Southside drive regarding a scam.  According to the report, a report for deceptive trades practices was made.

Thursday, December 13

*11:20 a.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 2nd Street regarding the theft of medication.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had stolen her prescription medication; however the suspect denied taking the medications.

*11:30 a.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue C regarding phone harassment.

*1:38 p.m. – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant’s homemade motorcycle sidecar had been stolen from his yard.  Local recycling yards were contacted in an attempt to locate the missing property, the report states.

*6:15 p.m. – Brownwood Police received several items from an unreported car burglary at the Brownwood Police Department.  The owner of the property was contacted and the property was released; however an orange Coach purse is still missing the report states.

*7:01 p.m. – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding an unwanted person.  This call led to the arrest of 44-year-old Rudolfo Reyna for criminal trespass.

*8:00 p.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce Street regarding a male subject that was exposing himself inside the Dollar Store and Big Lots.  No arrest was made at the time of the report.

*10:59 p.m. – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Waco and Walnut Streets after noticing a vehicle driving on Belle Plain with its emergency lights flashing make several turns without signaling.  According to the report, the stop led to the arrest of 17-year-old Jessica Hardaway of Bangs for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone and possession of a dangerous drug.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Jessie Lee Justice for driving while intoxicated.

Friday, December 14

*1:33 a.m. – Brownwood Police responded to the report of an assault in the 1000 block of San Benito.

*1:44 a.m. – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Coggin Park regarding a reckless driver.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 18-year-old Luis Alanis of Coleman for reckless driving.
