Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, December 13, 2010.
Wednesday, December 8
*2:54pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed smoke coming from CR 135. According to the report, a suspect was standing near the fire watching it burn and told the deputy that he had been working and heard a pop. He said that he went to see what it was and noticed a white Chevrolet pick-up driving off at a high rate of speed westbound on CR 135. The deputy told the suspect, whom the deputy knew from a previous fire call, that he did not believe it and then issued the suspect a citation for burning during a burn ban. Bangs VFD arrived and extinguished the fire.
Friday, December 10
*7:30pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Campa regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that his motorcycle had been damaged during the night. Estimated damage was $500.
*8:34pm-While on patrol, a Brownwood Police officer noted a vehicle with only one headlamp and initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. Commerce. The driver was identified as 18-year-old Israel Arriaga of Early. The report states that after gaining consent to search his vehicle and person, Arriaga was found to be in possession of Hydrocodone and was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 greater or equal to 1g and less than 4g. When Arriaga exited the patrol car at the jail, the officer observed a green leafy substance, marijuana, where Arriaga had been sitting the report states. Arriaga was then additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana.
*9:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Marketplace regarding a report of theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen a backpack that he had accidentally left in the hotel parking lot. The backpack and its contents were valued at approximately $5000 according to the complainant.
Monday, December 11
*9:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 23-year-old Amanda Nicole Cantu of Early for Theft, greater than or equal to $50, less than $500.
*11:15pm- Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Waco Street regarding a suspicious act. According to the report, communications advised the officer that subjects were walking around the area and were possibly involved in a domestic disturbance. Communications also told the officer that there were some items of clothing discarded at the intersection of Waco and Locust Streets the report states. Investigation led to the arrest of 24-year old Joseph Kent Eisenbach of Blanket for Assault with Injury Family Violence by Strangulation.
*11:55pm-Brownwood police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 15th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the police report, dispatch told the office that an unknown male suspect in his 20s had beaten on the complainant’s door with a baseball bat and then screamed out something about the complainant’s wife before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located and the actor was identified as 34-year-old Bobby Crouch. After investigation, Crouch was arrested for Class B Criminal Mischief greater or equal to $50 and less than $500.
*12:49pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue G regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant stated that her son had found four checkbooks in his bedroom which belonged to the complainant’s father. The officer took possession of the checkbooks and placed them into evidence at Brownwood Police Department as found property until they could be claimed by the owner.
Sunday, December 12
*12:28am-Brownwood Police responded to the BRMC emergency room regarding an assault that had occurred. According to the police report, the victim stated she was in a mutual fight with an unknown female and did not wish to pursue charges.
*8:45pm-At the Brownwood Police Department, an officer spoke with a complainant regarding a theft. While at Wal-Mart, someone stole her wallet the report states.
*9:34pm-A Brownwood Police officer, while on patrol, noticed a vehicle with a defective left headlight. According to the report, the officer attempted a traffic stop in the 700 block of W. Commerce; however the vehicle continued and then turned in the 1000 block of W. Commerce into an alleyway south of W. Commerce and stopped. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Michael John Zarate, was arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle.
*7:42pm- A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy, while on patrol, noticed a vehicle with a defective left headlight. According to the report, a traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle at Belle Plain and Mulberry Streets. According to the report the driver, identified as 57-year-old Michael Wayne Adams, stated that he knew the headlight was out but had only gone to the store. Adams also told the officer that he did not have a drivers’ license or any insurance on the vehicle the report states. Communications informed the officer that Adams license was suspended for no insurance. Adams was then arrested for Driving While License Invalid and No Insurance.
*According to BCSO reports, while on patrol near May, a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle approaching the officer’s vehicle northbound on US 183N while he was travelling southbound. Reports state the the vehicle swerved into the deputy’s lane and ran the patrol unit onto the shoulder. The deputy then turned the vehicle around and observed the vehicle continuing to swerve into the southbound lane and onto the northbound shoulder the report states. Once the deputy stopped the vehicle, the driver was identified as 24-year-old Moises Morales Valencia of May. The report states that Valencia told the deputy that he had consumed 12 beers and had an open beer in the seat next to him. DPS Trooper Delgado assisted in translating for the standardized field sobriety tests, all of which the driver failed according to the report. Valencia granted consent for a blood sample, which was taken at BRMC the report states. He was then taken to the Brown County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense with Open Container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Donna Mae Kinsey of Bangs for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.
*Early Police Department arrested 24-year-old Matthew Robert Stovall of Early for Public Intoxication.
Monday, December 13
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Kristin Lee Field for Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
