Tuesday, December 10
*12:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Street regarding an assault. The incident is under investigation, the report states.
*1:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Main regarding debit card/credit abuse.
*1:47 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a scam. According to the report, $1500 was stolen from a business through a phone scam claiming that the complainant had been late on an electric bill and their electric was going to be cut off if not paid immediately. According to police, the caller instructed the complainant to obtain Green Dot Money Cards to pay the bill. The complainant fearing the loss electric service paid the bill as instructed only to find that they had in fact been scammed according to police. The complainant desired to file charges for theft.
*2:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding the theft of medication. There were no known suspects at the time of the report, according to police.*4:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue E regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a window had been shot by a BB gun and no suspect information was available.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Timothy Tulcus for public intoxication. According to the report, Tulcus was walking south on Bluffview in front of Northwest Elementary while school was being released. The deputy observed Tulcus stumbling around and almost fall into traffic several times, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen license plate. According to the report, the license plate had been stolen off of a trailer which was parked near Byrd’s Store.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the report of a reckless driver on North Hwy 183, near the Brownwood Regional Airport. Dispatch advised that the vehicle was swerving all over the roadway, driving in the bar ditch, and driving in the wrong lane of traffic. The vehicle was located as it attempted to make a U-turn in the roadway and struck a utility pole, the report states. The vehicle then left the crash scene and attempted to turn onto FM 1689 where a traffic stop was conducted, according to the report. The driver was identified and found to be under the influence of prescription medication, possibly having an adverse reaction, and transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a Medical Clinic on N. Hwy 279 regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a glass door had been broken sometime during the night. The cost to repair the door was estimated at $1000.
*36-year-old Misty Michelle Dewell turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/false report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Betheny Joann Galvan on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion to revoke/theft by check.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Christina Beronica Gomez on a warrant.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 17-year-old Cody Oric Gonzales on a warrant related to two counts of contempt of court disobedience of court order and minor in possession/purchase/use tobacco.
*17-year-old Jeron Tyrell Roberson was arrested on a warrant related to indecency with a child.
*35-year-old Irma Olade Sanchez was arrested on a warrant related to failure to appear on class c offense.
Wednesday, December 11
*33-year-old Don Warren Carmack of Bangs was arrested on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.
