Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, December 1, 2010.

Wednesday, November 24

*2:45pm-Law enforcement officials reported an incident of a reckless driver who had reportedly ran off the road a couple of times and even ran other cars off the road.  Reports state that DPS troopers and Sheriff’s deputies were out of range.  Brownwood police officers stopped the vehicle about 2 miles outside of Brownwood as it drove off of Hwy 67/84 into a field.

The driver, identified as 42-year-old Victor Glen Woodward, was accompanied by his girlfriend, identified as 52-year-old Debbie Moore McDaniel, both of Brownwood.  As the responding officer took Woodward into custody for Driving While Intoxicated, other BPD officers as well as a DPS Trooper arrived on scene.

The report states that McDaniel was showing signs of intoxication and was arrested for Public Intoxication.  The DPS Trooper accompanied Kilburn back to the Law Enforcement Center where Woodward was subjected to a breathalyzer test.  According to the report, Woodward ignored instructions on the breathalyzer test after a few attempts.  The report states that Woodward sucked on the breathalyzer instead of blowing into it and attempted to urinate during the testing.  Officers then decided to obtain a warrant for a blood specimen.   He was taken to the BRMC ER for the blood specimen and then returned to the jail on charges of Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More.

Monday, November 29

*12:49pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on FM 1176 in regards to a burglary of a building.  According to the report the complainant stated that someone had removed a saddle from a locked storage building on her mother’s property.  A suspect was named; however there were no arrests at the time of the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Forgery of Checks.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his former roommate had stolen personal checks from his room in the house they shared in May, TX.  There were at least two checks allegedly stolen, forged and passed, which had been written to a named suspect’s grandmother the report states.

Tuesday, November 30

*11:40am-Brownwood Police received a report by telephone that a complainant’s home had been burglarized about three weeks prior and during the burglary a plasma television had been stolen.  According to the report the complainant had received information about the television’s possible location; however, the television was not found at the provided location.  A report was filed and the television was listed as stolen in law enforcement databases.

*7:34pm-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 1500 block of 3rd Street, approaching the intersection of Coggin, when he noticed a vehicle make an improper start from a stopped position the report states.  According to the report the officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle which revealed that the driver’s license was suspended with previous convictions.  The driver, identified as 34-year-old Juan David Garcia was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
