Wednesday, December 31

*8:36 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Brady Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, officers met with a female and a male, identified as 28-year-old Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. of Brownwood, in the 1000 block of 9th Street.  As officers were asking the female what had happened, Maldonado fled from police, the report states.  Maldonado was reported by police to have thrown something to the ground as he fled, running through an open lot and into the back yard of a residence.  He attempted to jump over some toys in the backyard and lost his balance and officers were able to arrest Maldonado, the report states.  He struggled with officers during the arrest and was found to be clutching a small baggie of methamphetamine and a key in his hand, according to the officer’s report.  Officers found two additional baggies of methamphetamine and a baggie of marijuana and a green and white cut straw in the field Maldonado ran through, the report states.

When searching Maldonado’s person subject to the arrest, officers found a glass smoking pipe which contained two large crystalline substances inside a sock, according to the report.  He complained of chest pain in the patrol vehicle and was checked by EMS and then released to the Brown County Jail.  Maldonado was charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone, tamper fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, resist arrest search or transport, evading arrest or detention with previous conviction and a surety withdrawal related to criminal mischief.  Maldonado was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $85,500 as of Friday morning.

*11:12 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment via Facebook.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*11:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Austin Avenue, 7-Eleven convenience store, regarding theft.  During this call a male subject was identified and found to have stolen a piece of electronic equipment from the store, the report states.

*2:15 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Belle Plain while assisting with a narcotics investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.  During the stop, the driver, identified as 49-year-old Terri Ann Barker of Brownwood, was found to be in possession of numerous prescription tablets without a prescription, the report states.  Barker was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams as well as possession of a dangerous drug.

*3:29 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect had been using her debit card to make unauthorized purchases.

*4:36 PM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding fraud.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect had forged his information on two Bank of America checks.

*4:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding a theft which occurred on December 20, 2014 and a suspect was identified, the report states.

*7:54 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Coggin Avenue.  The driver, identified as 24-year-old Sean Reardon of Brownwood, was found to have an invalid driver’s license and had prior convictions for the offense, the report states.  Reardon was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*8:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Vine Street regarding a possible assault which had occurred between two female subjects.  One of the females was unwanted on the property and was criminally trespassed from the property.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachery Thrice Green of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/aggravated assault with deadly weapon.  Green is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of a $60,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Cory Chase McCorkle of Brownwood on warrants related to no liability insurance, failure to appear on class C offense and violate promise to appear.

*20-year-old Daniel Jet McElhaney of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance not in penalty group drug free zone.

Thursday, January 1

*1:57 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the driver’s side window of the complainant’s vehicle was damaged.  A brass BB was found in a window of the vehicle.

*6:16 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3800 block of 4th Street, 7 Eleven convenience store, regarding theft.  An unknown make subject was reported to have stolen been from the location.

*11:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Poindexter regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, windows had been shot out of two separate vehicles by a BB gun.

*12:46 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Avenue C regarding criminal mischief involving a window being broken out of a vehicle at the location, the report states.

*1:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Belmeade regarding criminal mischief where a vehicle’s window had been damaged, the report states.

*1:38 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3000 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding criminal mischief involving a window being broken out of a vehicle at the location.

*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Vincent regarding criminal mischief.  A window of a vehicle was reported to have been broken, the report states.

*3:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, management of Walgreens reported the theft of two Blue Rhino propane tanks from a secured container around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014.  An investigation is underway, the report states.

*4:48 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding fraud.  According to the report, the complainant advised that a known subject had used her credit/debit card information to make unauthorized purchases.

*7:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Cottage Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the driver’s side window of the complainant’s vehicle was damaged.  An investigation is pending.

*10:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in the 17000 block of County Road 417 near May regarding failure to signal a turn.  During a roadside interview, the driver 24-year-old Gary Daniel Hollis of Rising Star voluntarily removed from his pants pocket items including a small plastic baggie containing methamphetamine, according to the report.  Hollis was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams, the report states.  The passenger of the vehicle was released from the scene and the vehicle was towed.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment by phone.  According to the report, the complainant had received an obscene and threatening phone call, left by message earlier in the day.  The caller was recognized and identified herself in the message, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 54-year-old Jerry Wayne Colbert of Brownwood on a warrant related to sex offender’s duty to register.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Krystal Hampton of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate possession of a controlled substance.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 71-year-old Frankie Gene Maynard of May for driving while intoxicated/open alcoholic container.
