Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday and Wednesday, November 8-9, 2011.
Saturday, November 6
*12:30am-A Brownwood Police officer, while working security in the 4600 block of US 377 was approached by a woman who reported that her husband would not let her leave from the parking lot. According to the report, the officer observed the male standing nearby and the complainant stated that he had prevented her from leaving by his own actions and by utilizing nearby vehicles to assist him. An investigation into the incident determined that the suspect had unlawfully restrained her and he was subsequently arrested for Unlawful Restraint.
*12:42am-A Brownwood Police officer, while working security at the Brown County Youth Fair Barns, was approached by a complainant who reported the back windshield of her car had been broken out while she had been inside dancing. Damage to the vehicle was estimated to be $250.
*2:31pm-Brownwood Police spoke to a complainant at the Law Enforcement center regarding identity theft. The complainant identified themselves as the victim and named a possible suspect, the report states.
Sunday, November 7
*6:07am-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce, to a convenience store, regarding theft. According to the report, an employee told police that after closing, several packages of candy and energy drinks were stolen by an unknown suspect.
*5:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1400 Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s, regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant (an employee) stated that a male subject was seen stealing candy bars. The store did not wish to pursue charges against the suspect; however a criminal trespass warning was issued to the suspect.
*6:50pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding harassment. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-husband’s wife was harassing her.
Monday, November 8
* The Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 35-year-old Jose Solis of Dallas for making a false report to law enforcement of possible human trafficking. According to BCSO, the man was trying to help his sister get possession of a van from her husband who she was in the process of divorcing. After officers determined Solis had made a false report to them, he was arrested and charged with False Alarm or Report.
Tuesday, November 9
*2:58am-Brownwood Police responded to an alarm call at a business in the 500 block of N. Center Avenue. According to the report, when the officer arrived, he found that a window had been broken out of the business. When the key holder of the building arrived, he accessed the store and it appeared that no entry into the store had been made.
*6:24pm-Brownood Police were called to the 2200 block of 12th Street regarding a report of medication theft.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
