Thursday, January 13
*12:01pm-A complainant came to BPD to report an incident of theft. According to the report, the complainant told officers that a known suspect had stolen some temporary checks from her and passed them at the Country Store located on US Hwy 377. Evidence was obtained and charges filed at the complainant’s request.
*A BCSO deputy met with a complainant who advised that he had a home phone installed by Verizon about four months ago. According to the report, the complainant has been getting calls at about midnight, but when he answers the phone, no one is on the other end. His caller ID shows the call to be “unavailable” and Verizon told the complainant to place a call trap on his phone, the results of which will be sent to BCSO the report states.
Saturday, January 15
*3:00pm-BCSO deputy received a report of criminal mischief that had occurred at his home in Shamrock Shores at Lake Brownwood. The vehicle had been broken down and loaded onto a trailer for the complainant’s son to pick up and take to his repair shop. According to the report, once the vehicle arrived at the shop, the complainant notice that someone had keyed his vehicle prior to its being moved. Although the complainant knew nothing could be done, he wanted to report the matter in case someone was caught in the area of his home doing more criminal mischief that could possibly be tied to the incident.
Sunday, January 16
*11:39am-A BCSO deputy was dispatched to a report of criminal mischief in May, TX where a rear window of a red Cavalier was knocked out of the car. According to the report, the owner of the car advised that it had been parked outside of her house when the incident occurred.
Monday, January 17
*7:14am-Brownwood Police were called to 300 E. Commerce, Bruner Auto Group, regarding criminal mischief. During the investigation, it was determined that a vehicle was stolen from the property during the incident. The suspect, along with the vehicle, was located later in Williamson County.
*7:37am-Brownwood Police responded to 1003 W. Commerce, Stanley Chrysler regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, an employee reported that an unknown suspect(s) damaged one of the dealership’s bay doors at the rear of the mechanic building sometime during the weekend.
*3:00pm-BCSO received a report from a complainant that his vehicle had been keyed.
*11:35am-A BCSO deputy was called to a home where forced entry was evident; however nothing had been taken. According to the report, the complainant stated that she did notice a check book where “gotcha” and “hahahaha” were written in the ledger. This ledger was placed into evidence and the incident is being investigated.
*4:30pm-Brownwood Police received information that a former employee of a law enforcement agency was using his department identification to influence others. The ID was retained illegally and should not be in his possession the report states. The crime committed is impersonating a public servant. At the time of the report, no arrest had been made.
Tuesday, January 18
*Brown County Investigators Carlyle Gover and Jason Benefield conducted a traffic stop on Patrick Michael O’Conner near Commerce Square. Investigators were aware that O’Conner had outstanding warrants for Possession of Marijuana and Expired Driver’s License the report states. After stopping the vehicle and arresting O’Conner, investigators searched O’Conner’s vehicle and found marijuana inside the vehicle in a toolbox according to reports. O’Conner was arrested for the outstanding warrants and a new charge of Possession of Marijuana.
*10:56am-A victim came to the law enforcement center and reported that on two separate days, her vehicles had been damaged by the same subject. According to the report, the victim stated that over the past month and a half there have been incidents of harassment and vandalism that she had not reported and the incidents seem to be escalating. Charges of Criminal Mischief (B) and Stalking were filed.
*2:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding found property. A complainant reported that a male subject left a pink bicycle by the complainant’s mailbox.
*4:30pm-A BCSO officer was dispatched to a burglary that had already occurred. According to the report, the complainant had been out of town and returned to find his home broken into and his ex-girlfriend’s car damaged. A few items had been stolen and there was considerable damage to the interior of the house the report states.
*7:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding theft. Communications advised officers that two females were being detained. The females were identified upon officer’s arrival as 20-year-old Courtney Michelle Donaile Hood and 23-year-old Marinisha Williams. Initially Williams provided officers with a fictitious name the report states. Items stolen included several DVDs and various other merchandise. Total value of the items stolen was $227.59. Hood was charged with Theft more than $50 less than $500; and Williams was charged with Theft more than $50 less than $500 and Failure to Identify by Giving False/Fictitious Name.
*8:58pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Avenue I regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the reporting party stated that an unknown subject broke the back window out of the reporting party’s business vehicle and that the company wished to pursue criminal charges if a suspect was located.
*9:56pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had loaned his vehicle to a female he knew so that she could run some errands. The complainant stated that he knew the suspect had an active arrest warrant and that she left with his vehicle the report states. The vehicle was entered into the TCIC/NCIC database as stolen. The complainant was unsure if he wanted to pursue charges against the suspect for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, but did state that he wanted his vehicle back.
*A BCSO deputy responded to Cowboys Last Ride in regard to damage to the rear roll up door to the business. According to the report, the complainant named a possible suspect who he stated had been fired and also had broken into his home within the last couple of days. At the time of the report, no arrest had been made.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
