CockroftAliciaAccording to Sheriff Bobby Grubbs, Brown County Sheriff’s deputies  executed a search and arrest warrant on Sunday afternoon in the 100 block of South Sixth Street in Bangs, Texas.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office led by investigator Carlyle Gover into the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine.  After securing the residence, a search was conducted where deputies discovered methamphetamine and items associated with the use of the substance according to a sheriff’s office release.  46-year-old Alicia Cockroft (pictured left) was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana in Drug Free Zone.  The residence was located within 1000 feet of the Bangs ISD bus barn.
