Law enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, November 7, 2011.

Friday, November 4

*6:33am-Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Malone Street regarding a stolen vehicle.    According to the report, the complainant advised the officer that sometime during the night someone had stolen his 1997 Chevy Z71 pickup truck which contained numerous mechanical tools and several personal items. 

*12:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Holcomb Street regarding lost property.  According to the report, the complainant told the officer that his cell phone fell out of his pocket when he was near the 2800 block of Southside Drive and wanted to document the incident in case someone found the phone and attempted to turn it in.

*2:13pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of San Benito Drive regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant told the officer that there was no forced entry into his residence; however he stated that a substantial amount of US currency had been taken from his home along with a wedding set he had purchased.

*5:58pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce, Wal-Mart, regarding a shoplifter.  A juvenile male was detained by loss prevention employees after he concealed several items and attempted to leave the store without paying, the report states.  The juvenile was transported to the Law Enforcement Center for processing and released to family.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Joshua Huff of Tracy, California for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 Greater than 1 g Less than 4g in a Drug Free Zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Paul Keith Walker of Bangs for Assault Causing Injury Family Violence.

Saturday, November 5

*2:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of S US Hwy 377 regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant told the officer that a known suspect had hacked into her cell phone and changed her voice message; the greeting listing all of the complainant’s identifying information.  A report for identity theft had been made.

*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Nicole Rene Duncan of Blanket for Driving While Intoxicated.

Sunday, November 6

*1:00am-Brownwood Police investigated an early morning party in the 3300 block of 1st Street.  During the investigation, two minors were found to be in possession of alcohol and were cited for the violation, the report states.

*3:38am-Brownwood Police responded to a local convenience store in the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance in progress.  Communications advised the officer that a male and female were arguing and that the female left the scene in a white passenger car leaving the male behind, the report states.  Further investigation led to the arrest of the male subject, identified as 40-year-old Michael Keith Hickerson for Assault with Injury Family Violence by Strangulation.

*8:47am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Oakland Drive regarding debit card abuse.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she had lost her debit card on October 29th, 2011 and upon reviewing her online statement on November 6th, she noticed unauthorized transactions from the missing debit card.  The report states that a possible suspect was listed.

*14:56pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4600 block of Kay Drive in reference to abuse/neglect of a disabled person.  According to the report, the complainants stated that their son was being criminally neglected by the care staff.  The officer reported observing what appeared to him as bed sores on the victim, the report states.  Upon the request of the complainant, the victim was transported by Guardian EMS to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment.  Adult Protective Services were contacted in reference to the incident.

*7:58pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Commerce for a defective license plate light.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 28-year-old Michael John Zarate, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*11:41pm-Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Danien Udell Sherrin and 31-year-old Timothy Scott Delisle in the 1600 block of Custer Road after an investigation revealed that both were involved in the theft of copper wiring and air conditioner motors with copper wiring and copper tubing from a business in the 1600 block of Custer Road.  Both were transported to the Brown County Jail, charged with Theft of Copper/Aluminum/Bronze Wire, a felony offense.

*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Kathy Garcia Jauregui for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While License Invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Lee Dean Jordan of Santa Anna for Possession of marijuana less than 2oz.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 35-year-old Donnie Lee Massey of Bangs for Public Intoxication.

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Enrique Gaudalupe Ortega III for Unlawful Restraint.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 35-year-old Heather DShea Scott of Zephyr for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Jacob Levi Baumguardner of May on multiple charges for an incident of family violence at a residence on Starboard Drive.  According to BCSO officials, four victims including 3 relatives (one of which was disabled) and a family friend were assaulted during the event.  The disabled family member was treated by ambulance staff at the scene, the report states.  Baumgardner left the scene and when officers arrived at another residence in the area where he had gone,  Baumgardner attempted to run from them but was apprehended, officials stated.  Baumguardner faces charges including Injury to a Child/Elderly/Disabled Person With Intent to Cause Bodily Injury; 3 Counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury; and Evading Arrest.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
