Monday, November 3

*11:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Broadway regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect had stolen some scrap metal from outside their shop the night before.

Tuesday, November 4

*11:43 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the unwanted person had made threats to assault a customer at a local store.  The incident is under investigation the report states.

*12:55 PM – Brownwood Police met with a subject in the 1000 block of Early Blvd. who was the subject of an active investigation.  According to the report, while the officer was speaking with the subject, he revealed that he had brass knuckles in his possession.   The incident was documented, the report states.

*1:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Big G’s grocery store on North Hwy 279 regarding theft.  As a result of this call, a male subject was issued a citation for theft and a criminal trespass warning from the store.

*1:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Road regarding an assault which had just occurred at the Brownwood Middle School campus.  According to the report, a juvenile was taken into custody, transported to the Brownwood Police Department for processing and then later released to the juvenile probation officer.

*3:04 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Greenleaf Street regarding the theft of a cell phone.  According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.

*4:05 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her neighbor came into her backyard and stole some of her property.

*4:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she and her husband had been arguing all day.  She stated that when she had turned her back and her husband hit her with something across the leg and then left the residence.

*6:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Main Blvd. regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, jewelry, medication and a gaming system were taken during the incident.

*8:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Waco Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report a window of the residence had been broken.

*31-year-old Albert Eugene Espinosa of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/sexual assault of a child.

*22-year-old Jovan Garza was arrested for failure to appear on class c offense.

*48-year-old Irene Gomez Walls of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Wednesday, November 5

*3:06 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated while he was away, an unknown subject entered his home and removed several items.

*8:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Austin and Coggin Avenues regarding a motor vehicle accident.  According to the report, one of the vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene.

*9:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding trespassing.  According to the report, the officer arrived on scene and observed 38-year-old Sherma Stevens of Brownwood standing at an apartment door where she had an active criminal trespass warning.   Stevens refused to comply with officers’ commands and began evading on foot, the report states.  She was arrested for criminal trespassing and evading arrest or detention, according to police.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of Belfast Drive regarding a noise complaint by a resident in the area.  According to the report, the deputy ran the plates of the vehicles parked at the home, one of which was a vehicle with New Mexico plates.  The owner of the home stated that a person inside the home had stolen the vehicle, the report states.  The deputy went inside the home and identified all of the subjects inside and found that 26-year-old Johnny Johnson of Hobbs, New Mexico had driven the vehicle in question from Hobbs, New Mexico but stated that he had permission and showed the deputy the keys, according to the report.  While inside the house, the deputy searched the house for weapons that were being fired as reported in the original complaint; he located a .25 caliber pistol in a work boot that was next to where Johnson was sitting, the deputy reported.  Johnson admitted being in possession of the gun and that he had fired a 9mm pistol that was in the house, according to the report.  Johnson was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of firearm by felon and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

*20-year-old Juan Pedro Campos of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

*37-year-old Jimmy Lee Dudley, Jr. turned himself in on warrants related to assault causes bodily injury family violence and interfere with emergency call.

*Brownwood Police arrested 49-year-old Marcella Renee Keesee of Rochelle on a pre-revocation warrant.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Dustin Ray Lawson for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Taryn Jade Newby for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tamper fabricate physical evidence.

Thursday, November 6

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert Lee Howard Brookbank of Brownwood on a warrant for no driver’s license.

*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Perry Golden on warrants related to theft of services equal or greater than $500 less than $1500 and no drivers’ license.

*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Jessie Gabriel Robles of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Anthony Michael Willett of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
