Thursday, November 1
*4:38pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 6th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s car had been egged sometime during the hours between midnight and 4:00pm this date.
Monday, November 5
*8:23am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Crockett Drive regarding suspicious activity. According to the report, the business received a suspicious voice message on their telephone answering machine. The message was recorded for further investigation.
*9:38am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Austin Avenue regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the complainant reported that a pickup has been parked near their residence for a week. According to police, the vehicle was red tagged at the complainant’s request.
*10:26am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding fraud. According to the report, the complainant’s credit card was stolen by an unknown suspect and has been used for several unauthorized purchases in Temple, Texas.
*11:01am-Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding a bomb threat. According to the report, contact was made with McDonald’s management, the property evacuated and searched. Upon nothing being found, employees and customers were allowed to return and resume business, the report states.
*2:30pm-Brownwood Police we’re called to Wal-Mart regarding suspicious activity. According to the report, 20-year-old Lekert Fisher had pushed a 47-inch television out of the store in a shopping cart without paying and continued through the parking lot, across the street and was traveling on Belle Plain where police made contact with him. Fisher claimed that his uncle had paid for the TV; however, no evidence was found of the TV being purchased through any of the store’s registers, the report states. Fisher was also found to have an active trespass warning for Wal-Mart. Fisher was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and theft $500-$1500.
*4:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of 13th Street regarding a violation of a protective order which had occurred earlier this date. Information was gathered regarding this criminal offense.
*4:28pm-Brownwood Police received a report of assault with injury at the law enforcement center. The victim explained that the assault occurred on Saturday, November 3rd while she was attending a wedding reception held at the Budget Inn banquet room in the 500 block of E. Commerce.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Guy Blanton Fields and 55-year-old Susan Fields of Odessa for possession of marijuana.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Jose Tinoco for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
