Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, November 5, 2015.
Wednesday, November 4
*1:33 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1700 block of Good Shepherd. This stop led to the investigation of an assault, the report states.
*8:21 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 1600 block of Avenue D on three subjects who were suspected of possessing alcohol while underage. According to the report, during the encounter, two of the suspects fled on foot and one subject stayed behind. The two fleeing suspects were identified and warrants are being sought for their arrests.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Blanket, Texas. According to the report, after interviewing the parties involved, it was determined 32-year-old Clayton Keith Johanson was the aggressor, but there were no injuries reported. Johanson was arrested on scene for a warrant which was not connected with the reported disturbance.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of Emerald Drive and Ardee Circle for a possible argument and discharge of firearm. According to the report, upon the deputy’s arrival, he heard 2 gun shots. The deputy made contact with 3 subjects, who were identified as Richard McDaniel, Rocky Martinez and Richard Sabino. After an investigation, all 3 subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Brown County Jail where they each were booked in for deadly conduct discharge of firearm. Martinez and McDaniel were additionally charged with unlawful possession of firearm by felon.*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 39-year-old Drexel M Hold, IV on a warrant related to operation unregistered motor vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Clayton Keith Johanson of Blanket on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check enhanced.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Alfredo L. Vasquez, Jr. of Brownwood on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and violate promise to appear.
*30-year-old Anthony Ray Yeager of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to a parole violation related to credit card or debit card abuse.
Thursday, November 5
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Cassidy Cruz of San Antonio on a warrant related to motion to revoke/aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received information that 44-year-old Carrie Aleese Gardner of Brownwood would be traveling through Brown County with a large amount of methamphetamine. BCSO narcotics investigators observed the vehicle traveling on Hwy 183 in the community of May. According to the report, a traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of FM 2940. As one of the investigators approached the vehicle, he observed Gardner stuffing something into her shorts and she was ordered to exit the vehicle, the report states. During the roadside interview, Gardner was asked what she had stuffed in her shorts and she admitted to placing drugs into her shorts, the report states. Gardner surrendered approximately 32 grams of methamphetamine and was arrested for manufacture deliver a controlled substance penalty group 1 and tamper fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, according to the report.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Wanda Roe Lawhon of Brownwood on a warrant related to the burglary of a building. Lawhon was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Thursday morning.
