Friday, November 2
*10:58am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant regarding the violation of a protective order. According to the report, a warrant is being sought.
*11:19am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Buffview Drive regarding drugs/narcotics. According to the report, the complainant found what he believed to be narcotics in the grass behind the manager’s office.
*12:56pm-A Brownwood Police officer while on duty at Brownwood High School observed a juvenile who had a directive to apprehend from the Brown County Court. The student was asked to exit the classroom and was taken into custody in the hallway. During a pat down, a baggie of what was believed to be marijuana was found in the juvenile’s possession. The juvenile was arrested on the previous charge of criminal trespass habitation and a new charge of possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*1:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of 1st Street regarding credit card abuse. According to the report, the suspect is known.
*5:37pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of LaMonte regarding a juvenile being assaulted by another juvenile with a fishing pole. According to the report, the juveniles were separated and a report taken for documentation of the incident.
*7:10pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Maple Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 30-year-old Frank Brummet of Brookesmith for public intoxication.
*9:00pm –Brownwood Police made a traffic stop the area of Melwood and Wesley Streets after observing a vehicle fail to yield the right of way, nearly causing a crash to occur at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Victoria Street. According to the report, an investigation determined that the driver of the offending vehicle, identified as 60-year-old Larry David Hopkins, was determined to be intoxicated. Hopkins was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated second and taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room where a blood specimen was collected as evidence.
*10:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding the theft of a red scooter.
Saturday, November 3
*6:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of W. Baker regarding domestic violence. According to the report, the complainant advised he had been assaulted by his girlfriend; however, the suspect could not be located at the time of the report.
*7:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Broadmoor Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the argument was a custody issue; the father did not want to give the son back to his mother. The father stated that the mother had hit him in the face a couple of times during the argument, according to the police. No charges were filed and the child was released back to the mother’s care, the report states.
*8:28pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of 1st Street regarding a suicide attempt. According to the report, the suicidal subject’s common law wife stated that she and her child had been assaulted prior to the subject attempting to commit suicide. The subject was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center by ambulance for treatment and observation by MHMR, the report states. No arrest was made due to the subject’s physical and mental health, according to police.
* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 47-year-old Charles Simpson for driving while intoxicated third or more.
Sunday, November 4
*12:13am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of 2nd Street regarding found property. According to the report, a wallet was found; however the owner was unable to be located and it was placed in the Brownwood Police Department evidence lockers for safekeeping.
*1:12pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 900 block of N. Fisk Avenue. According to the report, the driver identified as Misty Milton was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*1:28pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown driver struck his vehicle while in the Dairy Queen drive-thru. The driver of the suspect vehicle left the scene, the report states.
*11:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Avenue D regarding the theft of an iPhone 4S.
*11:43pm-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the 3300 block of 2nd Street when he located a male subject who provided a false identity while being detained. According to the report, the male, identified as 28-year-old Richard Alicea of Spring, was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Harris County. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and for failure to identify fugitive from justice.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 21-year-old Khayman Broadi Delarosa for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Katherine Roberts for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Hayden Marshall Smith for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Monday, November 5
*3:28am-Brownwood Police responded to a verbal dispute in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Slayden. According to the report, while the officer was speaking with the subjects, he saw a man he initially had made contact with remove something from his pocket and throw it on the ground. The item was located and found to be a silver colored pipe used for smoking marijuana.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Tinoco for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
