Friday, October 31
*11:46 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Vincent Street which led to the driver, Chase White, being arrested for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.
*11:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding forgery/counterfeiting.
*1:00 PM – Brownwood Police received a report from a bank that a local convenience store had deposited three counterfeit bills. The business was contacted by police, the report states.
*4:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of two female subjects for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft at a property on Blarney Drive Friday afternoon. According to the report, the complainant stated someone had stolen 3 batteries from his boat. The owner lives in Odessa and had replaced the batteries the last time he was at Lake Brownwood from a previous theft, the report states. The batteries were valued at $361.30 according to the report.*5:09 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of Asbury regarding criminal mischief.
*5:25 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to CR 325 in reference to illegal dumping. According to the report, the deputy arrived to find 11 full household trash bags on the side of the roadway. There was no suspect information available, the report states.
*6:12 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the area of Walnut Street in Brownwood regarding a suspicious parked vehicle. According to the report, the deputy located the vehicle and identified the occupants, including a female and 19-year-old Blayne Scott Craig whose speech was slurred and had a hard time talking. The deputy knew Craig to be a user of synthetic marijuana from prior incidents and asked for consent to search the vehicle, the report states. During the consent search, the deputy located a package of synthetic marijuana and 2 pens, which had been used as pipes, according to the report. The substance in the package weighed 3.0 grams and Craig was taken into custody for possession of controlled substance penalty group 2-A, and the female was released to her parents.
*7:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an alleged kidnapping. No arrests were made at the time of the report, according to police.
*8:03 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of E Adams Street regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant stated her vehicle was struck in a private parking lot at the above location.
*10:43 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Avenue K. According to the report, the driver 28-year-old Fernando Santos Perez of Brownwood, was found to have seven outstanding warrants for his arrest and was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. Perez was arrested for the warrants and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving while license invalid with prior conviction.
*11:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, no arrests were made at the time of the report.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 37-year-old Christopher Michael Knox on a warrant related to public intoxication and a surety withdrawal related to assault (Lamar County).
*22-year-old Monica Salazar of Brownwood turned herself in on a probation violation.
*Early Police arrested 18-year-old James Aaron Scarborough of Early for injury to a child/elderly/disabled person and disorderly conduct.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Chase Cullen White of Brownwood regarding possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Saturday, November 1
*12:37 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Magnolia regarding a runaway juvenile.
*3:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop in the 400 block of W. Hall Street in Bangs. According to the report, the vehicle was observed driving in the center turn lane and then driving across 2 lanes of traffic and striking the outside curb of the roadway. The driver, who was identified as 21-year-old Katelynn Marie Barron of Coleman was arrested for driving while intoxicated, after she failed standardized field sobriety tests (SFSTs), the report states.
*4:43 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Belmeade regarding an assault. During this report, a female stated that her girlfriend had assaulted her at the above address.
*11:42 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Southside Drive which led to the arrest of 26-year-old Daniel Alan McCombs II of Brownwood for the offense of driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility.
*11:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Idlewild Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject had held property from him for several months and then sold it without his consent. Items stolen included a 1996 CASE Tractor with several attachments, the report states.
*12:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a female subject had stolen two cellular phones and a mini printer/camera.
*4:02 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, during the investigation a possible offense of child pornography was also discovered.
*4:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft. According to the report, a toy had been shoplifted and then attempted to be fraudulently returned for a refund.
*11:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a white 2000 Ford pickup on Temple Street at FM 2125 for defective license plate lights. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the occupants, one of which was identified as 20-year-old Jacob Thomas Duke. During the traffic stop, Jacob admitted to possessing a marijuana pipe and a bag of marijuana and was subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and drug paraphernalia.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Trevon Michael Vinson of May on warrants related to unsafe speed, no seatbelt and failure to appear.
Sunday, November 2
*6:58 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 3rd Street regarding a domestic disturbance. This call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Terrence Alonzo Jackson of Brownwood for assault family violence.
*1:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of 11th Street and Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a building.
*4:01 PM – A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 2200 block of Brady Avenue when he located a storage building which appeared to have been broken into. The owner had not yet been identified at the time of the report.
*4:12 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Brady Avenue regarding a weapons offense. Officers were called due to reports of gunshots in the area, the report states. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who had been shot multiple times and was lying in the alleyway, according to the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Mills County Sheriff’s Office that 26-year-old Michael Allen Perry of Brownwood was actively violating an ex parte protective order, which was issued out of the Mills County District Court. According to the report, Perry was violating the order by texting his ex- wife with threatening messages, which is a violation of the protective order. The protective order was served to Perry on 10-28-2014, by Constable Jim Byars in Brown County. The messages continued and progressively got worse, the report states and were noted to have began on Friday evening, October 31st at about 9:56 pm and continued through Sunday, November 2nd, progressively getting more violent, according to law enforcement. A BCSO deputy located Perry hiding out at a residence on Cleburne Street in Brownwood and he was placed under arrest for violating the protective order, according to the report. Perry was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to the jail staff on the above stated charge. An application for an Emergency Protective Order was filled out on behalf of the victim and the other protected victims, due to Perry allegedly violating the current Temporary Ex Parte Protective Order, which was issued out of Mills County.
